1024 THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE. [No. 47
land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be a scenic reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing approximately 190 acres, abutting on the southern shores of Pickersgill Harbour and Dusky Sound, Fiord County. Bounded, commencing at a point thirty chains due south of the mouth of a creek which flows into a small inlet on the south side of Astronomer Point, thence due east for a distance of forty chains, thence due north to the coast-line, thence westerly and northerly along the coast-line to a point sixteen chains west of the starting-point, thence south to a point due west of the starting-point, thence east for a distance of sixteen chains to the point of commencement. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/2146A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Knight of Grace of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this eighth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area of Crown land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby set apart for selection by discharged soldiers, under the Land Act, 1908.
