ERRATA.—On page 909 of New Zealand Gazette No. 40,
of 3rd day of April, 1919, in the Warrant under the
hand of His Excellency the Governor-General appointing a
member of the Timaru Harbour Board, for “Tertius Bruce
Garrick, of Timaru,” read “Tertius Bruce Garrick, of Totara
Valley.”
In the Schedule to the Proclamation taking land for the
purposes of a street in Block VI, Rangitoto Survey District,
Borough of Devonport, published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 38, of 29th March, 1919, after the words “situated in”
insert “Section 2.”

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908
(hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), a
Scenery Preservation Board is constituted, and it is enacted
that such Board shall, when so directed by the Minister
charged for the time being with the administration of the
said Act, inspect any lands possessing scenic or historic
interest, or on which there are thermal springs, and make
inquiries respecting the same, and report to the Governor-
General; and shall from time to time recommend what
lands, whether Crown or private, shall be permanently
reserved as scenic, thermal, or historic reserves: And
whereas the said Board was duly directed to inspect and
report on the land described in the Schedule hereunder,
and has recommended that the said land should be per-
manently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient
to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained
in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be a scenic
reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and
subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing
by admeasurement 25 acres 0 roods 35 perches, more or less,
being Section 2, Block XI, Hundalee Survey District, and
formerly part of Small Grazing-run No. 91. Bounded towards
the east by Section 8, Block XI aforesaid, 1875·7 links;
towards the south by Native Block 1, 462·3 links; towards
the west and north generally by the remaining portion of
Small Grazing-run No. 91, 1871·7, 1058·1, and 1200 links.
As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S.
505A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint

Jerusalem, Governor-General and Commander-
in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion
of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and
issued under the Seal of the said Dominion,
at the Government House at Wellington, this
seventh day of April, in the year of our Lord
one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.
