Land in Taranaki Land District declared to be subject to Section 127 of the Land Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Land Board of the Taranaki Land District has recommended that the Crown tenant of the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto should be afforded relief, owing to exceptional circumstances over which he has no control preventing the profitable occupation of such land:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section twenty-five of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1911, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the land enumerated in the Schedule hereto to be subject to the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-seven of the Land Act, 1908; and I do further fix one year from the date mentioned in the said Schedule as the period for which the said land shall be exempt from payment of rent.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section four of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the areas of settlement land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for disposal by way of sale or lease to discharged soldiers, under special tenures, in the manner provided in the said Act.

Defining the Middle-line of a Portion of the Waipu Branch of the Whangarei—North Auckland Railway (0 M. to 6 M. 77 Chs.).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Waipu Branch of the Whangarei—North Auckland Railway (hereinafter termed “the said railway”) is a railway the construction of which is authorized by the Railways Authorization Act, 1914: And whereas it has been determined to construct and maintain a portion of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said portion of railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point marked 7 miles 5509·1 links on the Whangarei Branch of the North Auckland Railway, and proceeding thence generally in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 6 miles 77 chains, more or less, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Section 136, Block IX, Tangihua Survey District; Section 23, Block IX, Tangihua Survey District, and Block V, Ruakaka Survey District; Section 58, a closed road, Sections 57, S.W. 56, and 54A, Kopuawaiwaha Block 34D 3 No. 4A No. 4 West, Crown land Section 1, Kopuawaiwaha Block 34 4A 2 No. 4A No. 2; 34 4A 1 No. 4A No. 1; No. 4B; No. 2A; and 34A No. 1, Block V, Ruakaka Survey District; Sections 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block VI, Ruakaka Survey District: and terminating at a point on the boundary between Sections 10 and 11, Block VI, Ruakaka Survey District, marked 6 miles 77 chains: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves,
