DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between SIDNEY MAXWELL and JAMES GRANT, carrying on business as Farmers at Woodside, under the style or firm of “Maxwell and Grant,” has been dissolved as from the twenty-fifth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen. All debts due and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said SIDNEY MAXWELL, who will continue to carry on the said business.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE is hereby given that this Council proposes to execute a public work, and for that purpose to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

The works proposed to be undertaken are the formation, metalling, and drainage of a road in Tutamoe No. 2 Block.

The owners of the land to be taken are Natives.

Any person having any objection to the taking of the lands, or who will be injuriously affected by the construction of the road, is required to state the objection in writing, and send the writing to the office of the Cook County Council, Childers Road, Gisborne, on or before the 19th day of April, 1919.

A plan of the lands to be taken and of the works to be undertaken may be seen at the office of the Council during office hours.

APPROXIMATE area of land to be taken: 2 acres 1 rood 16 perches.

MINUTE OF RESOLUTION CARRIED BY MEMBERS, UNDER SECTION 168, SUBSECTION (6), OF THE COMPANIES ACT, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed at a meeting of the shareholders of the above company held at Dunedin on the 1st March, 1919:—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the shareholders of the Saint Kilda Masonic Hall Company (Limited) that the company cannot carry on owing to the condition of its finances, and that the company go into voluntary liquidation; and that Mr. CHAS. T. LEE be appointed Liquidator.”

THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND AT BAINESSE.

THE Wanganui Education Board hereby gives notice that, in pursuance of the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, it intends to acquire the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a public-school site; and that such lands are required and will require to be taken by the said Board under the provisions of the above Act; and that a survey has been made, and a plan prepared and signed by Messrs. Ward and Salmon, Licensed Surveyors, showing such lands, and that a copy of such plan has been deposited in the office of Messrs. Ward and Salmon, Rangitikei Street, Palmerston North, Surveyors, and there lies open for inspection; and that all persons affected are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wanganui Education Board at its offices, Victoria Avenue, Wanganui.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Equitable Life Assurance Society of U.S., after the expiration of one month from the publication of this notice, to issue a certified copy policy under section 59 of the Life Insurance Act, 1908, in lieu of policy numbered 1266038 on the life of the late WILLIAM BROWN, of Island Bay, Importer, the said policy having been lost.

THIS is to certify that the Partnership hitherto existing between GEORGE TESTRO PARVIN and WALTER JARVIS, trading as Dairy-farmers, Takahue, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from this date.

All moneys due to the said Partnership shall be paid to GEORGE TESTRO PARVIN, who will discharge all liabilities connected with the said Partnership. All property, stock, &c., remaining unsold becomes the property of the said GEORGE TESTRO PARVIN.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering Act, 1897, the Wellington City Milk-supply Act, 1910, the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and their respective amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of Wellington proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, to execute certain public works—namely, the milk-supply of the City of Wellington, and street-widening or street-extension in the City of Wellington; and for the purpose of such public works the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public works or the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public works or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Wellington City Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at the said office.
