PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—PETONE NEW HUTT BRIDGES LOAN 1912 REDEMPTION LOAN, 1918.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Petone Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £5,150, authorized to be raised by the Petone Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of repaying the Petone New Hutt Bridges Loan 1912 of £5,500, the Petone Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Petone; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the thirtieth day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Petone Borough Council on the 3rd day of March, 1919.

SUMNER BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Sumner Borough Council doth hereby resolve as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of building retorts and extensions in connection with the present municipal gas-works extension loan of £1,000 (1919), the said Sumner Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the £1 upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Gasworks Loan Special Rating Area within the Borough of Sumner, being all that area comprised within the following boundaries,—
Commencing at a point at the intersection of the Estuary and Christchurch–Sumner Road, and the north-eastern boundary of R.S. 158; thence by the eastern boundary of R.S. 158 to R.S. 10323; thence by the southern boundary of R.S. 10323 to the rifle range reserve; thence by the eastern and southern boundaries of the rifle range reserve; thence by a straight line to the boundary of the borough near Mount Pleasant; thence by the boundary of the borough to the Lyttelton Harbour; thence by the Lyttelton Harbour, the ocean, and the Estuary to the point of commencement.
And such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Sumner Borough Council held on Monday, 17th day of February, 1919.

NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the New Plymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £40,000, authorized to be raised by the New Plymouth Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes—to provide additions and extensions to the electric lighting and power works either within or without the borough, and to supply electricity, to acquire or provide in connection with such additions and extensions, lands, easements, and appurtenances and buildings, tunnels, weirs, reservoirs, engines, machinery, and other things, to pay compensation to any person injuriously affected, and any other purposes incidental or in relation to any of the above purposes—the New Plymouth Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixpence three-farthings in the pound upon the annual value of all rateable property in the Borough of New Plymouth; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fourteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth Borough Council held on the third day of March, 1919.

NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the New Plymouth Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the New Plymouth Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, to form streets and footways and generally to improve the streets and footways in the Borough of New Plymouth, the New Plymouth Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence in the pound upon the annual value of all rateable property in the said borough; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the New Plymouth Borough Council held on the third day of March, 1919.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the MOKAU COAL AND ESTATES COMPANY (LIMITED), a Private Company.
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at the office of W. McCulloch, Hastings, on Thursday, the 31st day of October, 1918, the following resolution was duly passed :—
“ That it is proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that the company be wound up accordingly; and that Mr. WILLIAM McCULLOCH, of Hastings, be appointed Liquidator.”
The resolution has now been completed by the signatures of shareholders, in accordance with the provisions of subsection (6) of section 168 of the Companies Act, 1908.
