In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of THE COLONIAL MOTOR COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-mentioned company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company on the 14th day of November, 1919, a special resolution was passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the company also duly convened and held at the same place on the 1st day of December, 1919, was duly confirmed, that the company be wound up voluntarily with a view to its reconstruction; and that ROBERT BARNES GIBBONS be and he was thereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up; and the Liquidator was authorized and directed to consent to the registration of a new company under the name of “The Colonial Motor Company (Limited),” or any other name that might be agreed upon as by the said resolution provided, and was authorized, in pursuance of section 259 of the Companies Act, 1908, to sell and transfer the assets and undertaking of the old company to such new company, when registered, upon the terms contained in the draft agreement referred to in the resolution.

WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Whakatane Borough Council hereby resolved as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Whakatane Borough Council Streets-improvement Loan, authorized to be raised by the Whakatane Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purchase of plant and material and improvement of streets, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one farthing (1¼d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Whakatane; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

KAITIEKE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Kaitieke County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the Kaitieke County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of reforming, culverting, and metalling portion of the Pukeatua Road, the Kaitieke County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and five-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Pukeatua Special Rating Area, comprising Sections 1 and 2, Block V, Kaitieke S.D., and Sections 1, 2, 3, and 6, Block I, Kaitieke Survey District, and comprising the rateable properties within the following boundaries,—

Commencing at the south-western corner of Section 1, said Block V, and following the western boundaries of said Section 1 and Sections 2, 1, and 3, said Block I, to the north-western corner of said Section 3; thence generally by the northern and western boundaries of said Sections 3 and 1, said Block I, and Section 6, said Block I, and the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Section 2, said Block V; to the southern corner of such Section 2; thence by the western boundary of such Section 2 and the western boundary of the Pukeatua Road (shown on plan as Makokomiko Road) to the south-eastern corner of Section 1, said Block V; and thence by the southern boundary of such Section 1 to its south-western corner, being the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

OTAMATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all other powers it thereto enabling, the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £5,000 (five thousand pounds), authorized to be raised by the Otamatea County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of forming, metalling, and improving the roads in the Ruawai Riding of the Otamatea County, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ruawai Riding, comprising the whole of the Riding of Ruawai; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

KAITIEKE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Kaitieke County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100, authorized to be raised by the Kaitieke County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of widening bridge and approaches on Upoko Road, the Kaitieke County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Upoko Special Rating Area, comprising Sections 3, 4, and 9, Block VI, Kaitieke Survey District, and comprising the rateable properties within the following boundaries,—

Commencing at the western corner of Section 9, said Block VI, and following the north-western boundary of such section to its northern corner; thence by the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 9, 4, and 3 and the south-eastern boundary of said Section 3, said Block VI, to the Kaitieke Road; and thence by such road in a north-westerly direction to the western corner of said Section 9, being the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until such loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Kaitieke County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Kaitieke County Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of reforming and metalling portion of the Wanganui River Road, the said Kaitieke County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny farthing in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Tapui Special Rating Area, being the rateable property within the following boundaries,—

Commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section C, Block IV, Hunua Survey District, and following the northern and south-western boundaries of such Section C and the south-western boundaries of Section D, said Block IV, to the Wanganui River Road; thence by such road and the Hikimutu Road to the south-eastern corner of said Section D; and thence by the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of said Section D to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until such loan is fully paid off.
