SYLVIA REEFS (LIMITED).
IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of shareholders in the Sylvia Reefs (Limited), in Liquidation, will be held at the office of the company, 210 Victoria Arcade, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 26th day of November, 1919, at 2.30 p.m.
BUSINESS.—To receive Liquidator's account pursuant to sections 230 and 252 of the Companies Act, 1908, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators; and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators shall be disposed of, and also to determine the disposal of any surplus funds.

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company, Christchurch, on the 1st day of September, 1919, the following resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of the members of the said company also duly convened and held at the same office on the 26th September, 1919, the same resolution was duly confirmed, as a special resolution : —
"That the company be wound up voluntarily on 31st October, 1919 ; and that Mr. WILLIAM ERNEST BEST, Public Accountant, of Christchurch, be appointed Liquidator."

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Whakatane County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Whakatane County Council (Matata, Tarawera, Rangitaiki, and Omataroa Ridings) Loan of £49,600, 1919, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes more particularly set forth in the resolution of the Council dated 1st November, 1919, authorizing the raising of the above-mentioned loan, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Matata, Tarawera, Rangitaiki, and Omataroa Ridings of the said county ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Whakatane County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Whakatane County Council (Waimana, Taneatua, Opouriao, and Nukuhou Ridings) Loan of £30,400, 1919, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose more particularly set forth in the resolution of the Council dated 1st November, 1919, authorizing the raising of the above-mentioned loan, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three farthings in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Waimana, Taneatua, Opouriao, and Nuhuhou Ridings of the said county ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HAVELOCK TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Havelock Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seven hundred pounds (£700), authorized to be raised by the Havelock Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing an electric-lighting system for the Havelock Town District, the said Havelock Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and one-tenth pence (1·1d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Havelock Town District, comprising the whole of the Havelock Town District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of July and the first day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of three years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—10 PER CENT. ON £8,210.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitemata County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eight hundred and twenty pounds (£820), being a supplementary 10-per-cent. loan of the original loan of eight thousand two hundred and ten pounds (£8,210), authorized to be raised by the Waitemata County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, and more particularly by section 18 thereof, for the completion of the construction
