Captain I. B. Cruickshank, placed on the N.Z. Roll. Dated

Memorandum.

Captain C. G. G. Johnson was appointed Quartermaster of
the battalion on the 23rd June, 1916, and held the appoint-
ment until demobilization, except between 6th January,
1918, and 3rd March, 1918.

N.Z. ENGINEERS.

Signal Services.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) W. G. Wainscott, M.C., re-
linquishes the temporary rank of Captain. Dated 12th
May, 1919.
Lieutenant W. G. Wainscott, M.C., is granted the temporary
rank of Captain whilst Second in Command, Signal
Squadron, A. and N.Z. Mounted Division, to date 17th
May, 1919, and relinquishes the appointment of Second
in Command, but retains the temporary rank of Captain,
to base for embarkation to New Zealand. Dated 22nd

2nd Lieutenant W. R. E. Halley to be Lieutenant, under

Captain L. B. Todd, discharged in England, is struck off the
strength of the N.Z.E.F. Dated 28th June, 1919.
Captain S. H. Crump is appointed Senior Supply Officer,
A. and N.Z. Mounted Divisional Train, vice Major P.
Dunningham, D.S.O., A.A.S.C., and is granted the temporary
rank of Major whilst so employed, to date 20th May, 1919,
and relinquishes the appointment on reorganization, but
retains the temporary rank of Major. Dated 30th June,
1919.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) E. N. Valpy to be O.C., No. 4
Company, vice Captain S. H. Crump, appointed Senior
Supply Officer, A. and N.Z. Mounted Divisional Train, and
retains the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed.
