THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the
Council of the County of Kiwitea, is published in
accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans
Act, 1913.

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1913,
I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the County
of Kiwitea was taken on Tuesday, 16th September, 1919, on
the proposal of the Kiwitea County Council to borrow £10,00
for the purchase and erection of county employees' homes.

The following votes were recorded: For the proposal, 401;
against the proposal, 240; informal, .1.
I therefore declare the proposal carried.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan..

In pursuance of section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act,
1913, and its amendments, public notice is hereby given that
a poll of ratepayers of the special rating area known as the
"Whareora-Horahora Special Rating Area" was held on the
14th day of October, 1919, on the proposal to borrow the
sum of £4,500 for purpose of metalling the Whareora-Horahora
Road, and resulted as follows: Total number of votes re-
corded, 21; total number of votes in favour of proposal, 21;
total number of votes against proposal, nil; informal, nil.

And as there were more than three-fifths of the total number
of votes recorded in favour of the proposal, I therefore declare
the proposal carried.

Council of the County of Levels, is published in accord-
ance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

LEVELS COUNTY COUNCIL.
Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies'
Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the
ratepayers in the Otipua, Point, and Claremont Ridings of
the Levels County taken on the 10th day of October, 1919,
on the proposal of the Levels County Council to raise a special
loan of £10,000 for forming and metalling roads in the Otipua,
Point, and Claremont Ridings, the number of votes recorded
for the proposal was 209, and the number of votes recorded
against the proposal was 19.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Dated at Timaru this 11th day of October, 1919.

Redefining Boundaries of the City of Wellington and the County
of Makara.

Department of Internal Affairs,
Wellington, 3rd November, 1919.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 20 of the Muni-
cipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the bound-
aries of the City of Wellington are hereby defined as set
out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said
city having been altered by an Order in Council dated the
29th day of September, 1919, made under the Municipal
Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, and published in a
Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, No. 118, of the
30th September, 1919.

And also, in pursuance of the said section 20 of the Muni-
cipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, the boundaries of
the County of Makara affected by the said Order in Council
dated the 29th day of September, 1919, are hereby defined as
set out in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE..

BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF WELLINGTON.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded to-
wards the north-east generally commencing at a point on
high-water mark of Lambton Harbour in line with the south-
western boundary of Section 7, Harbour District; thence to
and by the south-western and north-western boundaries of
Section 7 aforesaid to the easternmost corner of Section 4,
Porirua District; thence by the north-eastern boundary of
Section 4 aforesaid to the Wellington-Marton Railway Re-
serve in Section 5, Porirua; thence by the aforesaid railway
reserve to the north-eastern boundary of Section 5, Porirua,
and by the north-eastern boundary of that section to the
south-western boundary of Section 107, Ohariu; thence by
the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 107
aforesaid, the south-western boundary of Section 95, Ohariu,
to the southernmost corner of Section 94; thence by a right
line to the northernmost corner of Section 94 aforesaid and
that line produced across the old Ohariu Road, and by the
northern side of that road to a point in line with the north-
western boundary of Section 93, Ohariu; thence towards the
west generally by a line to and by the north-western boundary
of Section 93, Ohariu, a right line to the northernmost, corner
of Section 9, Kaiwarra; thence by the north-western and
south-western boundaries of Section 9, Kaiwarra, to the
northernmost corner of Section 7, Kaiwarra; thence by the
north-western and south-western boundaries of the said
Section 7 to the northernmost corner of Subdivision I
of the Otari Native Reserve; thence by the north-western
boundaries of Subdivisions Nos. I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII,
and VIII, Otari Reserve, and the south-western boundary
of the last-mentioned subdivision and its prolongation to the
right bank of the Kaiwarra Stream, and along the right bank
of that stream to the northern boundary of the Waterworks
Reserve; thence along the northern and western boundaries
of that reserve to the northern boundary of Section No. 69,
Block X, Port Nicholson Survey District; thence along the
northern boundaries of Sections Nos. 69 and 70, the eastern
boundaries of Sections Nos. 70 and 38, Block X aforesaid, the
eastern boundary of Section No. 37, Block XIII, and its pro-
duction to high-water mark of the sea; thence easterly and
northerly along high-water mark to the western boundary-
line of Original Section No. 13, Block XI, Port Nicholson
Survey District; thence along the said western boundary-line
to the northern side of Coutts Street and along the northern
side of that street to a point in line with the western boundary
of Allotment No. 19 on plan No. 1773, deposited in the office
of the District Land Registrar at Wellington; 13; thence along
a right line bearing 32° 50′ to the western.boundary of Section
No. 13 aforesaid and along the said western boundary to the
northern side of a public road shown on plan No. 1773
aforesaid; thence easterly along the northern side of that
road to the south-western corner of Allotment No. 19;
thence along the western boundaries of Allotments Nos.
19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 44,
4, 3, and 2 shown on plan No. 1773 aforesaid; thence along
the northern boundary of the last-mentioned allotment bear-
ing 86° 58′ 30″ and distance 62 links; thence along a right
line through Allotment No. 1 on plan No. 1773 aforesaid
bearing 354° 41′, distance 440-8 links, to the southern side of
Old Farm Road; thence easterly along the southern side of
that road to the western boundary of Original Section No. 9,
Block VII, Port Nicholson Survey District, and along that
boundary to the north-western side of Old Farm Road;
thence along the said north-western side of that road to the
southernmost corner of Allotment No. 45, Block I, shown on
plan No. 1335, deposited in the office of the District Land
Registrar at Wellington; thence along the western boundary
of the said Allotment No. 45 to the southern side of the road
along the shore of Evans Bay; thence along the southern
side of that road and along the western boundary of Section
No. 9 aforesaid to high-water mark of Evans Bay; thence
along the high-water mark of Evans Bay to the eastern
boundary of the area described in the Third Schedule to the
Wellington City Reclamation and Empowering Act, 1906;
thence along the said eastern boundary and high-watermark
of Evans Bay to a point on the southern boundary of land
reclaimed by the Wellington Patent Slip Company, distant
2434 links south and 10952 links east from Mount Cook
