And whereas an error was made in describing the said area as 39 acres 2 roods 13 perches :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, and of every other power and authority enabling me in this behalf, do hereby amend the Warrant dated the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, hereinbefore referred to, by substituting the description of Section 408, Parish of Waipu, as set forth in the Schedule hereto, for the description of the said allotment set forth in the Schedule to the said Warrant of the twelfth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen.

to be a trustee, in the place of William Gosling, who has resigned, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Pongaroa Public Cemetery, in conjunction with William Alfred Burling, Augustus Meech, Charles Redders Burling, and Timothy O’Brien, previously appointed.

Regulations under Section 116 of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908, relating to the Powers of Rabbit-proof Fencing Boards. —Notice No. 1985.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixteen of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered to make regulations prescribing the powers, functions, and duties of Boards constituted under Part IV of the said Act, and generally giving effect to Part IV of the said Act :
And whereas it is desirable to prescribe the powers of Boards to enable them to ensure the destruction of rabbits within their districts, and to prevent the increase of rabbits therein as empowered by section ninety-six of the said Act :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the said Act, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the powers of Boards constituted under Part IV of the said Act.

REGULATIONS.

IN these regulations “Board” means a Rabbit-proof Fencing Board constituted under Part IV of the said Act.

A Board may from time to time appoint any person to be an Inspector for the purposes of Part IV of the said Act.

Every person so appointed shall be deemed to be an Inspector under Part I of the said Act, and shall have all the powers of such an Inspector within the Board’s district.

Reviving and confirming the Commission to inquire into the State of that Part of the Clutha River where it runs in the Vicinity of the Borough of Balclutha, thence continuing to the Sea; and also into the State of the Orari, Rangitata, Waimakariri, Ashley, and Marae whenua Rivers, and such other Rivers as have been or may from time to time be added to such Commission, and extending the Time for forwarding the Report of the Commission.

To all to whom these presents shall come, and to FREDERICK WILLIAM FURKERT, Esquire, of Wellington, Inspecting Engineer, Public Works Department; ASHLEY JOHN HUNTER, Esquire, of Auckland, Civil Engineer; and FRANCIS CHARLES HAY, Esquire, of Gisborne, Civil Engineer: Greeting.
WHEREAS by a Warrant dated the eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, you, the said Frederick William Furkert, Ashley John Hunter, and Francis Charles Hay, were constituted and appointed to be a Commission in terms of the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1908, to inquire into the state of that part of the Clutha River where it runs in the vicinity of the Borough of Balclutha, thence continuing to the sea; and also into the state of the Orari, Rangitata, Waimakariri, Ashley, and Marae whenua Rivers, and such other rivers as may be added to the Commission from time to time by direction of Cabinet, but not later than six months from the date thereof (the whole of such rivers being hereinafter referred to as “the said rivers”), with the object of ascertaining the cause or causes of the silting-up, erosion, and flooding of the said rivers, and the best means of remedying the same, and what legislation (if any) is necessary or expedient in relation thereto :
And whereas by a Warrant dated the twenty-second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, certain other rivers were added to the list of rivers to be inquired into by the aforesaid Commission :
And whereas the time within which such Commission was required to report to me thereon expired on the seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen :
And whereas it is expedient to revive such Commission, and extend the time within which such Commission shall report to me for a further period of four months—that is, until the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Commissions of Inquiry Act, 1908, and of all other powers and
