THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue
of a provisional certificate of title, in favour of JEMIMA
WEIR, Wife of ARCHIBALD WEIR, of Thornbury, Farmer,
for Allotment 11, Block IX, plan No. 30, being part Section
21, Block VII, Jacob’s River Hundred, being the land con-
tained in certificate of title, Vol. 44, folio 245, and evidence
having been lodged of the loss of the said certificate of title,
I hereby give notice that I shall issue a provisional certificate
of title, as requested, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the
same within fourteen days from the date of publication of
this notice in the Gazette.
Dated at the Land Registry Office, Invercargill, the 23rd
day of October, 1919.

E VIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the out-
standing duplicate of Memorandum of Mortgage
No. 33530, of which WILLIAM BURKE, a Roman Catholic
Dean, and JOHN LACHLAN McGILLIVRAY WATSON,
a Solicitor, both of Invercargill, are the registered proprietors,
over Lot 1 on deposited plan No. 1807, and being part of
Section 10, Block VI, Invercargill Hundred, and being part
of the land in certificate of title, Vol. 107, folio 292, and
application having been made to me to register a discharge
of the said mortgage, I hereby give notice that it is my in-
tention to register such discharge, dispensing with the pro-
duction of the said outstanding duplicate, at the expiration
of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this
notice.

In the matter of the NEW ZEALAND DAIRY ASSOCIATION
(LIMITED).

P URSUANT to section 223 of the Companies Act, 1908,
notice is hereby given that at extraordinary general
meetings of the shareholders of the New Zealand Dairy
Association (Limited) held in the King’s Theatre, Victoria
Street, Hamilton, on Friday, the 19th day of September,
1919, and Friday, the 10th day of October, 1919, respectively,
the following special resolutions were duly passed and con-
firmed :—

  1. That it is expedient to effect an amalgamation of this
    company with the Waikato Co-operative Dairy Company
    and the Waikato Co-operative Cheese Company, and that
    with a view thereto this company be wound up voluntarily,
    and that ALEXANDER GRIERSON, of Auckland, N.Z., Ac-
    countant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the
    purpose of such winding-up.
  2. That such Liquidator be and he is hereby authorized
    to consent to the registration of a new company to be called
    “The New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company (Limited),”
    with a Memorandum and Articles of Association which have
    already been prepared, with the privity and approval of the
    Directors of this company.
  3. That the draft agreement submitted to this meeting
    and expressed to be made between this company of the first
    part, its Liquidator of the second part, and George Sedgwick
    Kent, of Auckland, N.Z., Solicitor, as trustee for the New
    Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company (Limited), of the third
    part, be and the same is hereby approved, and that the said
    Liquidator be and he is hereby authorized, pursuant to
    section 259 of the Companies Act, 1908, to enter into an
    agreement with such new company (when incorporated) in
    the terms of the said draft, and to carry same into effect,
    with such (if any) modifications as he shall think expedient.

ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.—OMONA RIDING
LOAN, £3,000.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Eltham County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect
of principal and interest and also the other charges on a
loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Eltham County
Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for forming
and metalling roads in the Omona Riding, the said Eltham
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
10/38ths of one penny in the pound upon the capital value
of all rateable property within the boundaries of the Omona
Riding of the Eltham County ; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

KAKEPUKU ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Kakepuku Road Board hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000), authorized
to be raised by the Kakepuku Road Board, under the above-
mentioned Act, for constructing drains in the Kakepuku
Road District, the said Kakepuku Road Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of seven-eighths of a penny in the
pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of
the special rating area, comprising all that area in the Kake-
puku Road District, West Taupo County, bounded, com-
encing at the junction of Oruruwhero Road and the western
boundary of the West Taupo County ; thence north-westerly
along that boundary to the northern boundary of Kakepuku
No. 2A ; thence along the northern and eastern boundary
of Section 7 ; thence easterly along that boundary to the
Rapaura Road ; thence along the road to the western boundary
of Section 16 ; thence along the western and northern bound-
aries to a road ; thence north-westerly along that road to
the northern boundary of Section 3 ; thence easterly along
that boundary a distance of 23 chains ; thence south-easterly
by a straight line to the north-eastern corner of Rapaura
Block ; thence south-easterly along the eastern boundary
of the Rapaura Block to the Punui Road ; thence south-
easterly along the Punui Road to the intersection of the
Punui Road and eastern boundary of Section 8 ; thence south-
easterly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 8 and 9,
Mangamahoe B 31, to the north-western corner of Kakepuku
No. 1E ; thence easterly along the northern boundary of
No. 1E to the north-eastern corner of No. 1E, to the inter-
section of a road ; thence south-westerly along that road
to the south-eastern boundary of No. 1F 2 ; thence along that
boundary to the south-east corner ; thence westerly along the
northern boundary of Kakepuku 11A to the south-eastern
corner of No. 1G ; thence northerly along the western bound-
ary of No. 1G to the Oruruwhero Road to the south-eastern
