MEDICAL REGISTRATION.
I, PHILIP JOHN JORY, Bach. Med. Univ. N.Z. 1914, Bach. Surg. Univ. N.Z. 1914, now residing in Rotorua, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 22nd November next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Auckland.

UAWA AND COOK COUNTY COUNCILS.
NOTICE is hereby given that these Councils propose, under the Counties Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work, and for that purpose to take the land described in the Schedule hereto.
The works proposed to be undertaken are formation, metalling, and drainage of a road in the Tuawhatu 1b 2 No. 2b 2 Block, Tuawhatu 2b 1b Block, Whangara No. 1 Block, Mokairau No. 1 Block, Tuawhatu 1b 2 No. 1, 2b 4, and 2b 1a blocks.
The owners of the land are C. Seymour, W. Cooper’s estate, H. W. Barker, and Natives.
Any person having any objection to the taking of the land, or who will be injuriously affected by the construction of the road, is required to state the objection in writing, and send the writing to the office of the Uawa County Council, Gisborne Farmers’ Co-operative Company’s Buildings, Tolaga Bay, or to the office of the Cook County Council, Childers Road, Gisborne, on or before the 24th day of November, 1919.
A plan of the land to be taken and the work to be undertaken may be seen at the offices of the above-mentioned Councils during office hours.

I, HARRY HUNGERFORD SCHOFIELD, of Papakura, near Auckland, Farmer, do hereby give notice that on and after the first day of October, 1919, on behalf of myself and FLORENCE EMMA AMALIA SCHOFIELD, my Wife, and my Children, the surname of HUNGERFORD will be assumed, taken, and adopted in lieu of the name of Schofield by which I have been heretofore called and known; and that at all times hereafter the said surname of HUNGERFORD will alone be used and adopted by me and them in all transactions, documents, and writings, and all legal and other proceedings and matters; and that I will henceforth be known as HARRY HUNGERFORD HUNGERFORD and not as Harry Hungerford Schofield; and I further give notice that a duplicate of this notice has been filed in the Supreme Court Office at Auckland.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
