Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Spotswood Domain.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixth day of October, 1919.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighth day of that month, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Spotswood Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

STANLEY ELDRIDGE PETTENGILL,
ERNEST WILLIAM SMITH,
THOMAS STEVENSON, and
THOMAS HENRY WILKINSON,

as from the fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, to be the Spotswood Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the thirtieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, at three o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Public Library, Spotswood, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

SPOTSWOOD DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 2 roods 27 perches, more or less, being Reserves Nos. 3157, 3714, and 3851 (in red), Spotswood Village, situate in Block IV, Cheviot Survey District. Commencing at the north-east corner of Lot 70; thence towards the north by the Waiau Road, 1000 links; towards the east and south by Section 12, Block IV, of the aforesaid district, 1500 links and 803·8 links; towards the west by Parnassus Road, 1392 links; again towards the north and west by Lot 70, 146·9 links and 150·7 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1189/26A, and deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Luggate Domain.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the seventeenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the nineteenth day of that month, the domain described in the Schedule hereto was brought under the provisions of Part II of the said Act:

And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the Luggate Domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

HENRY JOHN HUNT,
WALTER JOHNSEN,
THOMAS MCKAY,
CHARLES OLOF MARKLUND,
JOHN VLIESTRA, and
PETER VLIESTRA

to be the Luggate Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, at three o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Albion Hall, Luggate, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

LUGGATE DOMAIN.

ALL that parcel of land, situated in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 0 roods 7 perches, more or less, being Section 23, Block VI, Tarras Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west and north-east by Section 25, 494·9 and 149·5 links respectively; again towards the north-east and north-west by Section 24, Block VI aforesaid, 356 and 399·2 links respectively; and again towards the north-east by a public road, 284·2 links; towards the south-west generally by River-bank Reserve, 1310·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/642, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion doth hereby appoint
