PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Piako
County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Piako County
Council Road Machinery Loan of £7,000, 1919, authorized
to be raised by the Council, under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of (1) erecting a stone-crusher at Waiorongomai,
at a cost of £1,600; (2) purchasing roadmaking machinery
consisting of road-roller with scarifier attachment, grader,
and two motor- lorries, at a cost of £5,400, the said Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth (1/16th)
of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the whole of the county; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
thirty-six and one-half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution
passed at a meeting of the Piako County Council held
on Monday, 15th September, 1919.
In testimony whereof we have hereunto signed our names,
and the common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and
Inhabitants of the County of Piako has been affixed, this
15th September, 1919, in the presence of-

ROADS AND BRIDGES LOAN OF £68,000, 1919.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Bay
of Islands County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Bay of
Islands County Council Roads and Bridges Loan of £68,000,
1919, authorized to be raised by the Council, under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of-
(a.) The metalling of the road and reconstruction of
bridges between Hukerenui and Tapuhi ... 3,000
(b.) The metalling of Ramarama roads and the re-
construction of bridges ... 5,000
(c.) The metalling of the main road between Kawa-
kawa and Waiomio, and reconstruction of
bridges ... ... ... 4,000
(d.) The metalling of the main road between Waio-

  • (e.) The metalling of the Kaikohe-Mangakahia Road

    one penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the
    basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Bay
    of Islands County; and that such special rate shall be an
    annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
    and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June during the
    currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six (36) years,
    or until the loan is fully paid off.
    The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and
    Inhabitants of the County of Bay of Islands was hereto
    affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the
    Bay of Islands County Council, in the presence of-
    J. E. WELLS, Chairman.

    TAUMARUNUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
    RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
    IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
    behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Tau-
    marunui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
    That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
    charges on a loan of £100, authorized to be raised by the
    Taumarunui Borough Council, under the above-mentioned
    Act, for the purpose of drainage extension in the borough,
    the said Taumarunui Borough Council hereby makes and
    levies a special rate of one-seventieth of a penny in the pound
    upon the rateable value of all rateable property of that por-
    tion of the Borough of Taumarunui comprising Blocks I to
    IX inclusive and Blocks XIII to XVII inclusive in the Native
    Township portion of the Borough of Taumarunui, Blocks I
    to V inclusive in Bell's Extension, Sections 6 to 11 inclusive
    and Sections 14, 15, and 16, Block IV, and the whole of
    Blocks VI and VII, in the Rangaroa Village Settlement of
    the whole of what is known as Ngatai's Extension; and that
    such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
    currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the
    first day of September in each and every year during the
    currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half
    years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
    The common seal of the Taumarunui Borough Council was
    hereto affixed in the presence of-

    WANGANUI BOROUGH COUNCIL.
    RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
    IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
    that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
    Wanganui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
    That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
    fund, and other charges on a loan of £22,000, authorized to
    be raised by the Wanganui Borough Council, under the
    above-mentioned Act, for the following purposes, namely:-
  1. For laying down in concrete or other permanent material
    the street in the Borough of Wanganui known as
    Taupo Quay, for a distance commencing at the junction
    of the said street with Victoria Avenue to the
    point where the Government railway-line crosses the
    said street; and for tar macadamising or laying
    down in other permanent material the tram-line
    running along the said street for the distance afore-
    said; and the supply or providing of all material,
    appliances, matters, and things necessary, incident,
    or relating thereto: £4,000
  2. The making, constructing, and finishing of a street, or
    deviating or altering the existing street, in the
    borough at the intersection of the Great North-
    western Road and the New Zealand Government
    line of railway at the junction of the said Great
    North-western Road and Victoria Avenue; and the
    making, construction, erection, and completion of
    an overhead traffic-bridge on the Great North-
    western Road, rendered necessary by the deviation
    of the said railway-line by the New Zealand Govern-
    ment at the intersection aforesaid; and the supply
    or providing of all material, appliances, matters,
    and things necessary, incident, or relating thereto:
    £3,600
  3. The making, constructing, erecting, and completing of,
    an overhead traffic-bridge at the intersection of Glas-
    gow Street Extension and the New Zealand Govern-
    ment line of railway, rendered necessary by the
    deviation of the line of railway at the intersection
    aforesaid; and the providing, constructing, and
