EVIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of the outstanding duplicates of Memoranda of Mortgage Numbers 20501 and 30828, of which BIDDY MERRIFIELD, of Invercargill, Widow, is the registered proprietor, over Sections 161 and 162, Oreti Hundred, and Sections 6 and 15, Block XVIII, Longwood District, respectively, and being all the land in certificates of title, Vol. 47, folio 8, and Vol. 102, folios 62 and 63, and application having been made to me to register certain dealings affecting the said mortgages, I hereby give notice that it is my intention to register such dealings, dispensing with the production of the said outstanding duplicates, at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette containing this notice.

WOOLSTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Woolston Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £300, authorized to be raised by the Woolston Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming the road and footpaths, constructing concrete channelling, screening footpaths, and metalling the road known as Chichester Street, the said Woolston Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fourpence and seven-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (being unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Chichester Street Special Rating Area, being all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement five acres one rood twenty-one decimal nine perches, being Lots 2, 3, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, and parts Lots 18 and 41, deposit plan 523, part Rural Section 64, situate in the Borough of Woolston, in the Land District of Canterbury, the boundaries of which are as follows,—
Commencing at a point on the western side of Cunnor Terrace, the said point being the north-eastern corner of Lot 2, deposit plan 523; thence westerly two hundred and fifty-two links, bearing 279° 8′ 21″; thence northerly at a right angle one hundred and thirteen links; thence westerly at a right angle one thousand one hundred and eighty-three decimal four links to Radley Street; thence southerly along Radley Street at an angle of 90° 28′ 39″ four hundred and eighty-eight links; thence easterly at an angle of 89° 31′ 21″ one thousand one hundred and eighty-seven decimal two links; thence northerly at a right angle one hundred links; thence easterly at a right angle two hundred and fifty-two links to Cunnor Terrace; thence northerly along Cunnor Terrace by lines one hundred links, seventy-five decimal four links, and one hundred decimal six links, bearing respectively 7° 25′, 3° 3′, and 15° 25′, to the commencing-point: save and except the land contained in Chichester Street which is included within above-described boundaries.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 35½ years, or until the loan is paid off.
It is hereby certified that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Woolston Borough Council held on Monday, the 25th day of August, 1919.

IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a general meeting of Lloyd’s Limited (the old company) held on the 21st August, 1919, a special resolution was passed that the company be wound up voluntarily.
This notice does not apply to its successor, a new company called “Lloyd’s Limited,” incorporated on the 21st August, 1919.

THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.
IN pursuance of the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, the body corporate called the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Pukekohe hereby gives notice that it intends to acquire and construct a reservoir in Section One of the Parish of Pukekohe, and for the purpose and object of so doing the land described in the Schedule hereto is required and will be required to be taken by the said Council under the provisions of the above Act; and that a survey has been made and a plan prepared, signed and approved by Henry James Lowe, for the Chief Surveyor, and numbered 20119 (blue), showing such land, together with the names of the owners and occupiers thereof so far as they can be ascertained; and that a copy of such plan has been deposited in the office of the said Corporation in the said borough, the place directed by the said Corporation, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Clerk of the Pukekohe Borough Council.
