ST. VINCENT GULF.—ENTRANCE TO PORT ADELAIDE RIVER.
Masters of vessels, pilots, and others are hereby notified that the following changes will be made in the lights showing the entrance to the Port Adelaide River:—
- On and after 21st July, 1919, the buoy marking the Four-fathom Patch, at present showing an occulting red light, will be replaced with an “Aga” flashing red light, flashing 15 times per minute. Approximate position: Lat. 34° 48′ 23″ S., long. 138° 25′ 49″ E.
- On and after 4th August, 1919, the outer buoy marking the entrance channel, and at present showing a fixed green light, will be replaced with an “Aga” flashing green light, flashing 15 times per minute. Approximate position: Lat. 34° 47′ 36″ S., long. 138° 26′ 38″ E.
- On and after the 18th August, 1919, the occulting white light on buoy marking south side of entrance channel will be replaced with an “Aga” flashing white light, flashing 15 times per minute.
- On and after 1st September, 1919, the fixed green light on buoy marking bend in channel will show an “Aga” flashing green light, flashing 30 times per minute.
This affects Admiralty Charts 1750 and 2389, and “Australia Pilot,” Vol. I, pages 295 and 302.
SPENCER GULF.—PORT PIRIE RIVER.—ALTERATION OF LIGHT.
Masters of vessels, pilots, and others are hereby informed that on and after the 21st day of July, 1919, No. 10 beacon will be altered to show a red light instead of a white light.
Approximate Position: Lat. 33° 8′ 45″ S., long. 138° 1′ E.
This affects Admiralty Charts Nos. 2389 and 403, also Survey of Port Pirie River dated 1915.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 29th September, 1919.
The lands may be purchased for cash or on deferred payments, or selected on lease for thirty-three years, with right of renewal for further successive terms of thirty-three years and a right to acquire the freehold.
Applicants must appear personally before the Land Board for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the 1st October, 1919, at 10 o’clock a.m.
The ballot will be held at the conclusion of the examination of applicants.
