Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, provided that the rate of interest at which the loans or any of them are to be raised shall in no case produce to the lender a return exceeding five and one-quarter pounds per centum per annum; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Appropriation Act, 1915, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.

Declaring Portion of Okara Road, in the Whangamomona County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this second day of July, 1918.

Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of Okara Road, situated in the Taranaki Land District, Whangamomona County, commencing at its junction with Tahunaroa Road, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction for a distance of 1 mile 18 chains, adjoining or passing through Section 1, E.R., Block XI, Mahoe Survey District, and terminating at a point marked 1 mile 18 chains on the eastern boundary of the said Section 1, E.R. As the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44337, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring Land to be no longer subject to Part XV of the Native Land Act, 1909.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this second day of July, 1918.

Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twenty-seven of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916, it is enacted that the Governor-General in Council is authorized, by Order in Council under section ninety-six of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, to vest the land known as Waingarara Block, being Section 10, Motatau No. 2 Block, comprising 453 acres, more or less, in the Native owners thereof without the provisions of subsection two or subsection three of the said section ninety-six having been complied with: And, further, it is enacted that no Order in Council shall be issued as aforesaid unless and until there has been first discharged such proportion of all existing liabilities charged upon the whole area of Motatau No. 2 Block, in respect of expenses connected with the survey, roadings, and administration of that block, as the Tokerau Maori Land Board deems to be a proper proportion to be borne by the Native owners of the said Section 10:

And whereas the Tokerau Maori Land Board has notified that it is satisfied that all liabilities due by the said Section 10, in respect of survey, roadings, and administration, have been discharged, and recommends that the said land be revested in the Native owners thereof:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section ninety-six of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913, and by section twenty-seven of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land known as Waingarara Block, being Section 10, Motatau No. 2 Block, comprising 453 acres, more or less, shall no longer be subject to Part XV of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall be revested in the Native owners thereof.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this second day of July, 1918.

Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the twenty-third day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and gazetted the twenty-sixth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, prohibiting all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the thirtieth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and gazetted the second day of August, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, prohibiting all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

KAUPEKA-A-HAUMIA Block: Approximate area, 960 acres 1 rood; Mata and Tokomaru Survey Districts.
Rangikohua 4B No. 3 Block: Approximate area, 1,191 acres 2 roods 10 perches; Mata Survey District.
