N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.
2nd Lieutenant (now Lieutenant) L. B. Todd was taken on the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 28th November, 1915; List No. 24, 20/8/16.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Captain C. E. Hercus was granted the temporary rank of Major whilst holding the appointment of D.A.D.M.S. Anzac Mounted Division. Dated 1st April, 1916; List No. 19, 13/5/16.
Captain F. T. Bowerbank was granted the temporary rank of Major whilst in charge of the Medical Division of the N.Z. General Hospital. Dated 1st January, 1916; List No. 19, 13/5/16.
Lieutenant-Colonel W. H. Parkes, N.Z. Medical Corps, was appointed D.D.M.S. to the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and was granted the temporary rank of Colonel whilst so employed. Dated 1st January, 1916; List No. 2.
Captain John George Campbell was posted for duty. Dated 16th January, 1915.

MEMORANDA.
2nd Lieutenant Kossuth Skoglund, Unattached List (b), was posted for duty in N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 18th May, 1915.
2nd Lieutenant T. J. H. Alderton, N.Z. Rifle Brigade, was posted for duty in N.Z. Expeditionary Force. Dated 24th June, 1916.
Frank Clervaux Chaytor to 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 24th November, 1915 (vide Gradation List of September, 1917).

Appointments, Promotions, and Resignations of Officers of the Territorial Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and resignations of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force :—

APPOINTMENTS.
The undermentioned are appointed members of a Special District Medical Board with pay of Lieutenant-Colonel at Expeditionary Force rates whilst so employed. Dated 24th April, 1918 :—
Major Frederick Cameron, M.B., N.Z. Medical Corps (N.Z. Expeditionary Force).
Captain (temp. Major) John Restell Thomas, M.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, and retains the temporary rank of Major whilst so employed.
Captain Philip Stanley Foster, F.R.C.S., Eng., N.Z. Medical Corps.
Captain Charles Henry Wheeler, M.D., Ire., N.Z. Medical Corps (Reserve of Officers).

The undermentioned are appointed members of a Special District Medical Board. Dated 30th April, 1918 :—
Captain Frank Lockwood Atkinson, M.B., N.Z. Medical Corps.
Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Leonard Hugh Booth, M.B., N.Z. Medical Corps, and retains the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed.
2nd Lieutenant Patrick Gilbert Ford, Unattached List (b) General List, is appointed an Attesting Officer under the Military Service Act, 1916. Dated 26th April, 1918.

PROMOTIONS AND RESIGNATIONS.
QUEEN ALEXANDRA’S 2ND (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Captain William Richard Foley, M.C., is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force with effect from 1st June, 1918, and is absorbed into the Regiment with his original rank and seniority therein—viz., Lieutenant, as from the 5th March, 1917, vide New Zealand Gazette No. 52, of the 22nd March, 1917.

9TH (WELLINGTON EAST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.
Captain Noel Gordon Grant is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force with effect from 1st June, 1918, and is absorbed into the Regiment with his original rank and seniority therein—viz., Lieutenant, as from 24th March, 1916, vide New Zealand Gazette No. 47, of the 20th April, 1916.

N.Z. FORCES MOTOR SERVICE CORPS.—MOTOR-CAR SECTION, CANTERBURY.
Lieutenant David McMillan resigns his commission. Dated 2nd May, 1918.

N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Major Henry Ferdinand Bernau, M.R.C.S. (N.Z. Expeditionary Force), is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel whilst doing special duty in New Zealand. Dated 20th March, 1918.
Captain William Newlands, F.R.C.S., Edin., to be Major. Dated 3rd April, 1918.
Major George Pearce Baldwin, L.R.C.P., Edin., appointed a member of a Special District Medical Board on 1st March, 1917, receives the pay of Lieutenant-Colonel at Expeditionary Force rates, with effect from 24th April, 1918, whilst so acting.

N.Z. CHAPLAINS DEPARTMENT.
The Reverend Daniel Dutton, Chaplain to the Forces, 3rd Class, to be Chaplain to the Forces, 2nd Class. Dated 7th May, 1918.
The Reverend Daniel Dutton, Chaplain to the Forces, 2nd Class, retires under the provisions of paragraphs 126 and 127 General Regulations, 1913. Dated 10th May, 1918.

N.Z. ARMY NURSING SERVICE.
Alice Mary Hinds Howell to be Masseuse. Dated 1st January, 1918.

UNATTACHED LIST (b).
Lieutenant William John Melville is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force with effect from 7th June, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., Lieutenant, as from 7th January, 1917, vide New Zealand Gazette No. 141, of the 13th September, 1917.
2nd Lieutenant Harold Herbert Parkinson is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force with effect from 1st June, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., Lieutenant, as from 15th February, 1917, vide New Zealand Gazette No. 52, of the 22nd March, 1917.
