side of the Wairau River where it crosses the western boundary of the said Wairau Road District, and bounded towards the south-west by the south-western boundary of the Wairau Road District to the summit of the dividing range between the Awatere and Acheron Rivers; thence towards the south-east and north by that range and the range through Blue Mountain and the Acheron Saddle to the source of the Waihopai River; thence generally towards the south-east by the dividing range between the Waihopai and Wairau Rivers to the most eastern corner of Section 94, Block XI, Avon Survey District; thence towards the south by the northern boundary of Lot 3 of the Bankhouse Estate as shown on plan deposited in the District Land Registrar's office, Blenheim, No. 669, to the Waihopai River; thence towards the east by the eastern bank of that river to the south-western corner of Section 4 of Block 1, Block VI, Avon Survey District; thence generally towards the south and east by the boundary of the Delta and Valleyfield estates, being the southern boundaries of Section 4 of Block I and Section 2 of Block I, and the eastern boundaries of Section 2 of Block 1 and Section 3 of Block 1, and the northern boundaries of Sections 147, 139, 138, and 170, all in Block VI, Avon Survey District, to the western bank of the Omaka River; thence towards the south-east by the western bank of that river to the north-eastern corner of Section 91, Block XIII, Cloudy Bay Survey District; thence towards the north and the east by the Omaka Road District to the Wairau River; thence towards the north-west by the southern bank of the Wairau River to the point of commencement.

Waihopai Subdivision.—All that area of land in the Wairau Road District, commencing at the source of the Waihopai River, and bounded towards the north-west by the eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said Wairau Valley Subdivision to the north-western side of the Omaka River at the north-eastern corner of Section 91, Block XIII, Cloudy Bay Survey District; thence on the north and east and again on the north by the north-eastern and northern boundaries of the said Wairau Road District to the north-western corner of the Fairhall Subdivision; thence towards the east by the western boundary of the Fairhall Subdivision; thence towards the south and south-east by the Awatere County; thence towards the south-west by the Wairau Valley Subdivision to the source of the Waihopai River, the point of commencement.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with the Road Boards Act, 1908.

Special Order made by the Pelorus Road Board altering Subdivisions and fixing Representation.

THE following special order, made by the Pelorus Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

PELORUS ROAD BOARD.

THE following special order, referring to the subdivision of the Pelorus Riding, was moved by Mr. Chas. Nees, seconded by Mr. Jas. Fulton, and carried :—

That the petition of N. J. Dolamore, Douglas Haswell, and forty other ratepayers in the Pelorus Subdivision be acceded to, wherein your petitioners pray that a new subdivision be constituted, and an additional member be elected to the Board.

That the Pelorus Subdivision of the Pelorus Road District be abolished, and that two new subdivisions be constituted, viz.,—

(1.) The Pelorus Valley Subdivision, as defined in the Schedule hereto;

(2.) The Rai Subdivision, as defined in the Schedule hereto.

That the Pelorus Subdivision be represented in the Board by two members.

That the Rai Subdivision now constituted be represented in the Board by one member.

SCHEDULE.

Pelorus Valley Subdivision.

Commencing at the southernmost point of the boundary of the Havelock Town District, as described in the Picton and Havelock Improvement Act, 1872. Bounded towards the east by the Kaituna Subdivision, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of the 30th April, 1883, page 535; thence towards the south-east by the Wairau Road District, as described in the aforesaid Gazette, to the boundary-line between the Provincial Districts of Marlborough and Nelson; thence towards the west and north-west by that boundary to Saddle Hill; thence towards the north by a right line to the north-west corner of Section 3, Block VII, Heringa Survey District, and by the northern boundary-lines of Blocks VII and VIII, Heringa Survey District, and Block IX, Wakamarina Survey District; thence again towards the west by the western boundary-line of Block VI, towards the north by the northern boundary-line of Blocks VI and VII, towards the west by the western boundary-line of Block IV, all in Wakamarina Survey District, to the Pelorus Road District boundary as described in before-mentioned Gazette; thence towards the north-east by the leading spur forming that boundary to Black Point; and thence towards the south-east and north-east generally by the waters of Pelorus Sound and the Havelock Town District boundary to the point of commencement.

Rai Subdivision.

Commencing at Saddle Hill on the boundary-line between the Provincial Districts of Marlborough and Nelson. Bounded towards the north-west and north generally by that boundary to Editor Hill; thence towards the north-east by the boundary of the Pelorus Road District to its intersection with the Pelorus Valley Subdivision hereinbefore described; thence towards the east and south generally by that subdivision to Saddle Hill, the point of commencement.

The common seal of the Chairman, Members, and Inhabitants of the Road District of the Pelorus Road Board was hereto affixed in the presence of Chas. Nees and J. Fulton, members.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with the Counties Act, 1908, and the Road Boards Act, 1908.
