Declaring Rural Section 22014, Block IV. Alford Survey District, Ashburton County, to be vested in His Majesty, in pursuance of Section 31 of the Valuation of Land Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this thirtieth day of April, 1918.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section thirty-one of the Valuation of Land Act, 1908, it is provided that if the owner of any land (other than the owner of a leasehold interest therein) is not satisfied with the value of such land as fixed by the Assessment Court, he may, within fourteen days after the hearing by the Assessment Court, give notice to the Valuer-General that he requires the capital value to be reduced to the amount specified in the notice, or the land to be acquired on behalf of His Majesty at the sum specified in the notice;
And whereas it is further provided by the said section thirty-one that the Valuer-General may either reduce the capital value or may refer the matter to the Governor-General in Council, and that if the Governor-General in Council approves of the acquisition of the land at the sum specified in the said notice, then the Governor-General may, by Order in Council gazetted, declare the land to be vested in His Majesty:
And whereas the owner of the fee-simple of the land known as Rural Section No. 22014, Block IV, Alford Survey District, Canterbury Land District, containing an area of twenty acres, being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 130, folio 274, gave notice to the Valuer-General, in terms of and within the time specified by section thirty-one of the Valuation of Land Act, 1908, that he required the capital value of the said land to be reduced to the sum of sixty pounds or the land to be acquired on behalf of His Majesty at that sum:
And whereas the Valuer-General has referred the matter to the Governor-General in Council:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section thirty-one of the Valuation of Land Act, 1908, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the acquisition of the said land at the sum of sixty pounds, and doth declare the said land to be vested in His Majesty.

Declaring Portions of Waari Hamlet Roads, in Waitemata County, to be County Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of May, 1918.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the roads or portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county roads.
SCHEDULE.
ALL those portions of road in the Auckland Land District, Waitemata County, being part of the road system of the Waari Hamlet Settlement, Block II, Titirangi Survey District. Commencing at the northernmost corner of the road forming the northern boundary of Waikumete Railway-station; thence in a north-westerly and north-easterly direction to the north-eastern corner of Section 57, Waari Hamlet, a distance of 77 chains (marked A B); again commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 67, Waari Hamlet; thence in a north-westerly direction to the western corner of Section 62, Waari Hamlet aforesaid, a distance of 53·5 chains (marked C D); again commencing at the easternmost corner of Section 75, Waari Hamlet aforesaid; thence in a south-westerly and south-easterly direction to its junction with the first herein-described road in Allotment 248,
Waikomiti Parish, a distance of 85 chains (marked E F): be all the aforesaid distances more or less. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43938, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Directing Sale of Land in Block II, Ngaire Survey District, under the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of May, 1918.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the thirtieth section of the Public Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever, for any public work is not required for such public work the Governor-General may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto was taken under the Public Works Act, 1894, and the Public Works Act, 1903, for the purposes of a rifle range:
And whereas the said land is not now required for the public work for which it was taken, and it is desirable to sell the same:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor-General to issue an Order in Council directing the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the said land.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 20951, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Extending Time for signing Rate-book, Woodville County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of May, 1918.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the rate-book prepared by the Woodville County Council for the year 1917–1918 has not been signed, as provided by section fifty-one of the Rating Act, 1908: And whereas it is expedient to extend the time within which such rate-book shall be signed as hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Rating Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time within which such rate-book shall be signed by two members of the Woodville County Council authorized to sign by such Council to the thirty-first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
