by the centre of such river to its confluence with the Mangakaha River; thence by the centre of such last-mentioned river to the most easterly angle of the Aukumeroa Block; thence by the north-eastern boundary of such block to the Mangakaha River; thence by the centre of that river to the most easterly angle of Section 3, Block XV, Punakitere Survey District; thence by the northern and western boundaries of the said Section 3 to the Mangakaha River; thence by the centre of that river to the boundary of the Hokianga County hereinbefore described, near the south-western corner of Section 7, Block XIII, Punakitere Survey District; and thence in a northerly direction by the said Hokianga County to the point of commencement: together with all the islands in the Bay of Islands, and all other islands adjacent to the said county.
Whangarei County.
All that area in the Land District of Auckland bounded towards the north by the Bay of Islands County hereinbefore described, from a point on the Mangakaha River at the south-eastern corner of Section 1, Block II, Tutamoe Survey District, to the sea; thence by the ocean to the north-eastern angle of the Otamatea County, as constituted by the Counties Act, 1886; thence generally towards the south by the said Otamatea County to the Mongonui River at the north-eastern angle of Section 166, Parish of Omaru; thence by the centre of Mongonui River to its confluence with the Tauraroa River, and by the centre of the Tauraroa River to the eastern boundary of Section 44, subdivision of Walton’s Grant; thence by the eastern boundary of the said Section 44, and by portion of the northern boundary of Section 43, subdivision of Walton’s Grant, until it strikes the eastern boundary of Block VII, Tangihua Survey District; thence by such eastern boundary, and by portion of the eastern boundary of Block I, Tangihua Survey District, to the southern boundary of Section 8, Block I, Tangihua Survey District; thence by the north-eastern boundary of Crown land where it adjoins the said Section 8 and Sections 9, 10, 11, and 12, Block I aforesaid; thence by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 13 and 17, Block I aforesaid, to the Waiotama River; thence by the centre of that river to the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block IV, Mangaru Survey District; thence by such eastern boundary, and by the northern boundaries of the said Section 4 and of Section 1, Block IV aforesaid, to the Wairoa River; thence by the centre of that river to its confluence with the Mangakaha River, and by the centre of the Mangakaha River to the south-eastern angle of Section 8, Block XV, Mangakaha Survey District; thence by the north-eastern boundary of the Mangaru Block where it adjoins Sections 8, 9, 10, 11, and 2, Block XV aforesaid; thence by the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of forest reserve adjoining Sections 2 and 1, Block XV aforesaid; thence by the north-eastern boundaries of a forest reserve, and of a State forest reserve of 2,054 acres, and by the north-eastern and northern boundaries of a further forest reserve which adjoins Sections 9 and 8A, Block X, Mangakaha Survey District; thence by a portion of the north-eastern boundary of Section 13, and by the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Section 12, and the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Section 10, and the eastern boundaries of Sections 25 and 24, all of Te Karaka Block; thence by the north-western boundary of Section 24 of Te Karaka Block; thence by the northern boundaries of Sections 10, 14, 9, and by the western boundary of Section 9, Block XII, Tutamoe Survey District; thence by the northern boundaries of Sections 8, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, subdivisions of forest reserve situated in Blocks XVI, XII, XV, and XI, Tutamoe Survey District; thence by the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block X, Tutamoe Survey District, and by the eastern boundary of Block VI, and part of the eastern boundary of Block II, Tutamoe Survey District, and by the eastern boundary of Section 4A, Block II, Tutamoe Survey District; thence in an easterly direction by portion of the southern boundary of Section 1, Block II, Tutamoe Survey District, to the Mangakaha River at the point of commencement: together with all the islands known as the Hen and Chickens (Taranga and Maro Tiri) and the Poor Knights, and any other islands adjacent to the said county.
Hobson County.
All that area in the Land District of Auckland bounded towards the north by the Hokianga County hereinbefore described, from the mouth of the Waipoua River to a point on the Mangakaha River at the north-western corner of Section 13A, Block III, Tutamoe Survey District; thence generally towards the east and north-east by the Whangarei County hereinbefore described, to a point on the Mongonui River at the most northern angle of Section 166, Block I, Matakohe Survey District; thence towards the south by the Otamatea County, as constituted by the Counties Act, 1886,
to the Wairoa River, and across that river; thence by the western side of the said river and the Kaipara Harbour to the sea, and thence by the ocean to the point of commencement.

Declaring certain Area added to the County of Waimarino to be included in Karioi Riding thereof.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-fifth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, the boundaries of the County of Waimarino and Borough of Ohakune were altered by the exclusion of a certain area from the Borough of Ohakune and the inclusion of such area in the County of Waimarino: And whereas it is desirable that the area so added to the County of Waimarino should be included in the Karioi Riding of that county:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section twenty-two of the Counties Act, 1908, do hereby declare that the area included as aforesaid in the County of Waimarino shall on and from the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, be included in the Karioi Riding of the said county, and that the boundaries of that riding shall be those set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
KARIOI RIDING, WAIMARINO COUNTY.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, commencing at the Ruapehu Trig. Station, situated in Block XI, Ruapehu Survey District; thence towards the south-east generally by the south-eastern boundary of Urewera No. 1A Block to the most northern corner of Rangataua North Block; thence by the north-eastern boundary of that block and the north-eastern and south-eastern boundary of Waiakaki Block to the Paumanawera Trig. Station; thence by the northern boundary of Block VI to the right bank of the Mangaehuehu Stream, by that stream to the north-eastern corner of Rangataua Town District, described in New Zealand Gazette, 1913, page 1659; thence by the north-eastern and western boundaries of the said town district to the right bank of the Mangaehuehu Stream, and by that stream to the south-eastern corner of Section 5, Block IX, Karioi Survey District; thence towards the south generally by the northern boundaries of Sections 6, 3, 2, 1, of Block IX aforesaid, and the northern boundaries of Sections 4 and 3, Block XII, Makotuku Survey District; thence by the western boundary of Section 3 aforesaid, the southern boundary of Section 2 to the Otiranui Road, and by that road in a northerly direction to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 4, Block XI, Makotuku Survey District; thence to and by that boundary to Hopetaka Creek, and by that creek to the centre of the Mangawhero River; thence towards the west generally by the Mangawhero and Makotuku Rivers to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 1, Block VII, Makotuku Survey District; thence to and by the south-western and south-eastern boundaries of the aforesaid section to the abutment of a public road, by that abutment and by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 25, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 17, 16, and P.E.R. 15 of Block III, Makotuku Survey District, the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, Horopito Township Reserve, Sections 7, 6, 1, of Block XVI, Manganui Survey District, by part of the north-eastern
