Board, during the present war with Germany, to borrow or
contract to borrow any money (otherwise than by way of
bank overdraft within the limit of its powers, if any, in that
behalf), whether from the State Advances Office or from any
other source whatever, and whether in pursuance of a special
Act or under any other authority whatever, without the
precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council:
And whereas application has been made for the consent
of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several
local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow
the sums set opposite the names of the said local authorities
respectively, for the several purposes specified in the said
Schedule, from the State Advances Office:
And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of
the Governor-General in Council should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby consent to the borrowing from the State Advances
Office of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local
authorities set out in the Schedule hereto for the purposes
specified in the said Schedule; and it is hereby declared that
this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that
behalf of the Appropriation Act, 1915, and shall operate
accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council
to the raising of the loans hereby authorized.
SCHEDULE.
FRESHFIELD Drainage Board, £400: For constructing drain-
age-works.
Kawhia County Council, £750: For widening and improving
the Awaroa–Mahoe Road.
Tauranga County Council, £1,500: For grading and metalling
the main Tauranga–Matamata Road and the main Waihi–
Tauranga Road.
Tauranga County County Council, £2,000: For metalling the
main Tauranga–Waihi Road.
Wanganui County Council, £400: For metalling the Kukuta
Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth
day of April, 1918.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves
and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the
said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from
time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local
authority to be the Domain Board having, subject to the said
Act, control of any public domain:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Do-
main Board to control the Devonport Domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers con-
ferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby appoint
THE DEVONPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL.
to be the Devonport Domain Board having the control of
the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes
of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act;
and doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the thirtieth day of
April, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at half
past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Borough
Council Office, Devonport, as the place where, the first meet-
ing of the said Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
DEVONPORT DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Section 42
of Allotment 2, Takapuna Parish, containing by admeasure-
ment 21 acres 0 roods 25 perches, more or less. Bounded
towards the north by Section 16, 726·6 links; towards the
north-east by Section 17A, 887·1 links; towards the south-
east generally by the abutment of a public road, 90·6 links,
by Section 17, 110·2 and 612·7 links; towards the south by
an education reserve, 286 links; towards the east by
the aforesaid education reserve, 212 links; and again
towards the south by Kerr Street, 824·1 links; towards
the west by Section 26, 1242·5 links; towards the north-west
generally by Sections W 26A and M 26A, 241·8 links, and by
Section E 26A, 481·2 links: all the aforesaid sections being
subdivisions of Allotment 2, Takapuna Parish: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less: save and except from the
hereinbefore-described area a signal-station reserve and a
right-of-way thereto. As the same are delineated on plan
marked L. and S. 1/453, deposited in the Head Office, Depart-
ment of Lands and Survey, and thereon edged red.
Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, being
Sections 36, 37, and 39 of Allotment 2, Takapuna Parish,
containing by admeasurement 19 acres 3 roods, more or less.
Bounded towards the north-east generally by Section 10,
708 links, by Section 11, 227 links, by the abutment of Tui
Street, again by the aforesaid Section 11, 250 and 423 links,
by the abutment of William Street, and by an irregular line
being the south-western boundary of Sections 21 and 20,
being subdivisions of Section 11 aforesaid; towards the east
by Cheltenham Road, 165 and 715 links; towards the south
and south-east by Beach Road, 376·7 and 353·8 links respec-
tively; towards the south-west and west by Stanley Street,
401 and 1015 links respectively; towards the south-east by
the abutment of Stanley Street, by Section 14, 862·8 links;
towards the south-west by said Section 14, 259·4 and 66 links;
and towards the north-west by Vauxhall Road, 906 links:
all the aforesaid sections being subdivisions of Allotment 2,
Takapuna Parish: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
As the same are delineated on plan marked L. and S. 1/453A,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Te Puke Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-third
day of April, 1918.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred by the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
revoke an Order in Council, dated the twenty-seventh day of
December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-seven,
delegating powers to the Te Puke Road Board in respect of
the Te Puke Domain, and doth hereby appoint
THE TE PUKE TOWN BOARD
to be the Te Puke Domain Board, having, subject to the
said Act, control of the Te Puke Domain described in the
Schedule hereto; and also doth hereby appoint Tuesday, the
twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and
eighteen, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when,
and the Town Board’s office, Te Puke, as the place where,
the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
TE PUKE DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Section
50, Block II, Maketu Survey District, and containing by
admeasurement 13 acres 3 roods 4 perches, more or less.
Bounded towards the west, north, and east by public
roads, 1450, 950, and 1450 links respectively; and towards
the south by Section 13, Block II, Maketu Survey District,
950 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the
same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/342, de-
posited in the Head Office, Lands and Survey Department,
Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 2431.)
