Sections 63A and 4 to Trig. 35 ; thence west along the southern
boundary of Section 62B to the Whaingaroa (Raglan) Har-
bour ; thence following the northern line of the Whaingaroa
Harbour to the coast-line at the south-west corner of Section
Te Akau D No. 17 ; thence north along the coast-line to the
point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of January in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, and the
rate of interest to be paid at the rate of £4 10s. per centum
per annum, together with an additional charge to provide the
necessary sinking fund, or until the loan is fully paid off.
It is the intention to pay out of the loan the first year’s
interest and sinking fund.

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Raglan County Council held at Ngaruawahia on the 10th day
of April, 1918.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and
Inhabitants of the County of Raglan has hereunto been
affixed this 10th day of April, 1918, in the presence of—

AWAKINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Awa-
kino County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of two thousand nine hundred and ninety
pounds, authorized to be raised by the Awakino County
Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
completing the forming of and for widening, culverting, and
metalling, in conjunction with the Waitomo County Council,
that portion of the main Te Kuiti – Awakino Road between
Piopio and the Ototohu Stream at Mahoenui, the said Awakino
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
halfpenny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all
rateable property of the Mahoenui Special Rating Area, as
fully described on page 2207 of the New Zealand Gazette of
the 31st May, 1917 ; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the
Awakino County Council held at Piopio on Saturday, the
23rd day of March, 1918 ; and in witness thereof the common
seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the
County of Awakino was hereto affixed in the presence of—

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of one thousand five hundred pounds,
authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council, under
the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling
Hawkins Road for the first time, the said Waipa County
Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-
farthings in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property in the Hawkins Road Special Rating Area, compris-
ing all that area in the County of Waipa and Parish of Te
Rapa bounded, commencing at the south-eastern corner of
Section 25 ; thence by such section to its south-western
corner ; thence by a road to the southern corner of Section 50 ;
thence by Section 49 to the northern corner of such section ;
thence by Sections 49, 48, 42, 43, and 43A to the eastern
corner of the last-mentioned section ; thence by a road to a
point opposite to the western corner of Section 58 ; thence
by a line across a road and a road to the western corner of
Section 97 ; thence by Sections 100 and 99 to the southern
corner of Section 98 ; thence by a road bounding Sections 90,
89, and 88 to the Waikato River ; thence by the Waikato
River to the commencing-point. And that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution making a special
rate was duly passed by the Waipa County Council at a
meeting of the said Council held at Ohaupo on the twelfth day
of March, 1918.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Clutha
County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect
of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan
of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Clutha County
Council, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the
purpose of metalling a portion of Horan’s Road, a portion of
Catherwood’s Road, and the remainder on Hunt’s Road,
within the Katea Special Rating District, the said Clutha
County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of

rateable properties of the Katea Special Rating District, com-
