NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto
existing between us, the undersigned, JOHN FRANK
WILSON and EDWARD PERCY WILLIS FORD, of Dunedin, En-
gineers, in the business of Motor Exchange and General Agents,
carried on by us at Dunedin under the style or firm of “The
New Zealand Motor Exchange,” has been dissolved by
mutual consent as from the first day of April, one thousand
nine hundred and eighteen; and that all debts due and owing
to and by the late firm will be received and paid respectively
by the said JOHN FRANK WILSON, who will continue to carry
on the said business under the same name as heretofore.

visions of section 49 of the Water-supply Act, 1908,
FREDERICK EVANS, Farmer, and WILLIAM HENRY HAR-
COMBE, Farmer, of Masterton, have been appointed as
Managing Ratepayers for the Upper Plain Water-supply
District, in the County of Masterton.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £100.—
PUKEMAPOU NO. 2 SPECIAL RATING DISTRICT.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rangiti-
kei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in
respect of principal and interest and also the other charges
on a further loan of £100, being ten per centum additional on
the original loan of £1,000 authorized to be raised by the
Rangitikei County Council, under the·Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1913, for the purpose of metalling the Pukemapou Road,
the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies
a special rate of three-fortieths of a penny (3/40d.) in the
pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the
capital value) of all rateable property of the Pukemapou
No. 2 Special Rating District, as described on page 1658 of
the New Zealand Gazette of the 4th May, 1916, and com-
prising Sections 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 22 in Block III,
Section part 23 (100 acres) in Block IV, and Sections 1, 2, 3,
4, part 5 (100 acres), 22, 23, and 24 in Block VII, all in the
Tiriraukawa Survey District; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I, Bennet Perry Lethbridge, Chairman of the Rangitikei
County Council, do hereby certify that the above resolution
was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the said
Council held on the 6th day of April, 1908.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and
Inhabitants of the County of Rangitikei was hereunto affixed
this 6th day of April, 1918, in the presence of—

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE OVER WAIPA BRIDGE
SPECIAL RATING DISTRICT AS SECURITY FOR LOAN OF
£2,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Counties Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1913, and by sections 119 and 120 of the Public Works
Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, and by virtue of a
Warrant dated the 9th day of January, 1918, issued under
the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General under the
provisions of the said section 119 of the Public Works Act,
1908, and with the consent of the Governor-General in Coun-
cil under section 26 of the Appropriation Act, 1915, as gazetted
on page 491 of the New Zealand Gazette of 1918, and of every
other power (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Raglan County
Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be
raised by the Raglan County Council, by special order, under
the authority of the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose
of paying the Council’s share of the cost of the erection of a
bridge over the Waipa River at Ngaruawahia, within and
for the benefit of the Waipa Bridge Special Rating District
of the County of Raglan, the said Raglan County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-thirteenth
(1/13th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of
all rateable property in the Waipa Bridge Special Rating
