SCHEDULE.

ALL that area of land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 19 perches, more or less, being portion of Section 374, Town of Gisborne, commencing at a point on the south-east side of Customhouse Street 282·2 links from the junction of that street and Gladstone Road. Bounded towards the north-west by Customhouse Street, 61 links; towards the south-west by other part of Section 374, 205·6 links; towards the south-east by Read’s Quay, 63·1 links; and towards the north-east by other part of Section 374, 187·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this sixth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Thursday, the thirtieth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Section 20 is weighted with £500, valuation for house containing five rooms and offices. The house is in good condition, but requires repapering.

Good building-sites, fronting Jackson, Farmer, and Gallagher Streets, from fifty to seventy chains from Te Aroha Railway-station.


Tauranga County.—Katikati Survey District.

Section 61, Block VIII: Area, 49 acres 3 roods 35 perches; upset price, £60.

Altitude, from 40 ft. to 150 ft. above sea-level. Broken to undulating land, covered with manuka scrub and hakea, and a few pine-trees. Clay soil, of fair quality, on sandstone formation; water can possibly be obtained by sinking 20 ft. Situated about four miles and a half from Katikati by formed road, half a mile of which is overgrown by scrub.

Opening Education Reserve in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Selection on Renewable Lease.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, and the Education Reserves Amendment Act, 1910, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the education reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection on renewable lease for the term of thirty-three years, with right of renewal for successive periods of thirty-three years, on Thursday, the thirteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said reserve shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Acts.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—PATANGATA COUNTY.—
PORANGAHAU SURVEY DISTRICT.

Education Endowment Reserve.—Second-class Land.

Lots 3 and 4, being parts of Block 76, Porangahau Crown-grant District, Blocks XI and XII: Area, 372 acres 0 roods 35 perches; capital value, £2,980; half-yearly rent, £59 12s.

Situated about one mile from Porangahau. Hilly country, good soil; Lot 3 easterly aspect, and Lot 4 westerly aspect; in English grass and scrub; country well suited for sheep and cattle grazing; well-watered. Altitude, 100 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-level.

Improvements included in price of land comprise 209 chains fencing valued at £156 15s., and clearing and grassing valued at £372.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twelfth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

Trustees for the Kowai (Balcairn) Public Cemetery appointed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand do hereby appoint

JAMES BARCLAY and
THOMAS COOPER

to be trustees, in the place of John Chapman and George Sayce Hickman, who have left the district, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Kowai (Balcairn) Public Cemetery. to act in conjunction with Thomas Henry Evans, George Baynton Starkey, Rev. Herbert Edward East, Frank Hubert Courage, George Alexander McLean, Cyril Thomas Wild, and Charles Blake Mason, previously appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this twelfth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
