Customs Regulations.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of April, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Customs Act, 1913, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend regulation 120 of the Customs Regulations made by Order in Council of the twenty-ninth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the second day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, by the addition to paragraph (2) thereof of the provisoes set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

PROVIDED that, if the approval of the Collector of Customs is first obtained, completely denatured spirits, for sale without restriction, may be made by the admixture of ingredients in the following proportions:—

(i.) Rectified spirit: 100 gallons.
Approved wood naphtha: 5 gallons.
Approved pyridine: From 2 to 4 pints, as may be determined by the Collector.

(ii.) Rectified spirit: 100 gallons.
Approved mineral naphtha or heavy benzine: 2 gallons.
Approved turpentine: 1 gallon.

Provided further that the manufacture of the mixture specified under clause (ii) hereof shall only be approved by the Collector—

(a.) When he is satisfied that sufficient wood naphtha and pyridine are not procurable in New Zealand at a reasonable price to enable the manufacture of the mixture specified under clause (i):

(b.) In quantities sufficient to furnish to the applicant one month’s supply at any one time, such supply to be estimated from the quantity made by that applicant during 1917, or on such other basis as the Comptroller of Customs may permit.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Lands other than Alienations in favour of the Crown.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of April, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, and by section one hundred and eleven of the Native Land Amendment Act, 1913 (as amended by section eight of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1916), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of eighteen months the Order in Council dated the thirtieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and gazetted the second day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, but only in so far as it affects the lands specified in the Schedule hereto, prohibiting all alienations of such lands other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and gazetted the tenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, prohibiting all alienations of the lands specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienations in favour of the Crown.
