ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day
of April, 1918.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him
by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers
in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall,
on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a
county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District,
Kaitieke County, known as the Kawautahi Road, commenc-
ing at the 5 miles 30 chains peg on the southern boundary
of Section 14, Block III, Kaitieke Survey District, and con-
tinuing thence in a westerly direction generally along the
frontage of part Sections 14 and 13, Block III, Kaitieke
Survey District, and terminating at the 6 miles peg, about
two chains west of the eastern boundary of said Section 13,
Block III, Kaitieke Survey District; being a distance of
fifty chains, more or less. As the said portion of road is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
43972, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.

of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Makuri Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day
of April, 1918.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said
Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from
time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint
such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a
Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act,
control of such domain :

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the fifteenth
day of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirtieth day
of March, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, a Domain
Board was appointed to control the Makuri Domain :

And whereas the period for which the said Board was
appointed expired on the fourteenth day of March, one
thousand nine hundred and eighteen :

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a
Domain Board to control the said domain :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers
conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
doth hereby appoint

LEONARD SYLVANUS POLGLASE,
WALTER PARKER,
GEORGE CALEB POWELL,
WALTER THOMAS TERRY, and
JOHN DENIS MURPHY

to be the Makuri Domain Board, having the control of the
land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of
and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth
hereby appoint Saturday, the fourth day of May, one
thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at seven o’clock p.m.,
as the time when, and Makuri as the place where, the first
meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

MAKURI DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 11 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Sec-
tion No. 162, Town of Makuri. Bounded towards the north
by the Makuri River; towards the south-east by a public
road; towards the south by a public road; and towards the
west by a public road and by the Makuri River.

Also all that parcel of land in the Wellington Land
District, containing by admeasurement 14 acres 2 roods
5 perches, more or less, being Suburban Section No. 159,
Town of Makuri. Bounded towards the north by Suburban
Section No. 160; towards the east by Section No. 4, Block
XIV, Makuri Survey District; towards the south-west by
Section No. 158, Town of Makuri; and towards the north-
west by Titoki Street.

Also all that parcel of land in the Wellington Land
District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 1 rood
13 perches, more or less, being Section No. 167, Town of
Makuri. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 44,
Block XIV, Makuri Survey District; towards the south-east
by the Upper Makuri Road; and towards the west by Section
No. 166, Town of Makuri.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 1102,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, contain-
ing by admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less,
being Suburban Section 169, Town of Makuri. Bounded
towards the north-west generally by the Upper Makuri
Road, towards the east by Titoki Street, and towards the
south generally by the Makuri River. As the same is
delineated on the plan marked L. 1102/32, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 23 perches, more
or less, being Suburban Section 170, Town of Makuri,
commencing at a point on the north bank of the Makuri
River immediately opposite traverse peg No. II on the
Upper Makuri Road. Bounded towards the south-west,
