Additional Regulation under the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of April, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section five of the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following additional regulation for the purposes of paragraph (g) of the said section five; and doth direct that the regulation hereby made shall form part of and be read with the regulations made under the said section five on the second day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the same date.


REGULATION.

  1. THE Schedule comprising the descriptions of tramway districts is hereby further extended to include a district to be known as the Napier Tramway District, comprising all that district in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, being the Borough of Napier, as defined in the New Zealand Gazette of 13th April, 1915, page 1101.

Amending Rules under the Bankruptcy Act, 1908.

LIVERPOOL, Governor-General.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of April, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Bankruptcy Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in this behalf enabling him, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion and with the concurrence of the Honourable the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Zealand and the Honourable Mr. Justice Edwards, a Judge of the said Court, doth hereby revoke the rules made on the eighth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the seventeenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, prescribing the remuneration to be paid to Deputy Assignees, and doth hereby make the following rules in lieu thereof. And doth hereby declare that such rules shall come into operation on the sixteenth day of April one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.


RULES.

(1.) THE remuneration to be paid to every Deputy Assignee shall be as follows:—

On the net value of the estate realized by the Deputy Assignee, including debts collected,—

On the first amount of £1,000 or any less sum . . . . 5 per cent.
On all further sums . . . . 2½ per cent.
In each estate in which percentage is less than £2 2s. . . . . £2 2s.

Consenting to the Raising of a Loan by the Kairanga County Council from the State Advances Office.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of April, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section twenty-six, subsection one, of the Appropriation Act, 1915, it is provided that, notwithstanding any Act to the contrary, it shall not be lawful or competent for any local authority or for any Harbour Board, during the present war with Germany, to borrow or contract to borrow any money (otherwise than by way of bank overdraft within the limit of its powers, if any, in that behalf), whether from the State Advances Office or from any other source whatever, and whether in pursuance of a special Act or under any other authority whatever, without the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council:

And whereas application has been made for the consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the Kairanga County Council to borrow the sum of five thousand pounds from the State Advances Office for the purpose of constructing a water-race for the supply of water to the inhabitants of the Fitzherbert West Water-race District:

And whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council should issue:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the borrowing of the said loan from the State Advances Office by the Kairanga County Council; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Appropriation Act, 1915, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the loan hereby authorized.

Declaring Portion of Pito Street, Raurimu, in the Kaitieke County, to be a County Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this sixteenth day of April, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of street in the Wellington Land District, Raurimu Township, known as Pito Street, commencing at its junction with the Kaitieke Road, and proceeding in a north-westerly direction along the frontages of Sections 8 (police reserve), 6, 5, and part 4, Block III, and Sections 4, 3, and part 2 (school reserve), Block IV, Raurimu Township, and terminating at a point two chains beyond the south-eastern boundary of said Section 2, Block IV, Raurimu Township; being a distance of nine chains, more or less.
