Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby amend the said
Proclamation by adding to the Second Schedule thereto the
following areas, namely:-

Defining the Middle-line of a Further Portion of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway-namely, a Further Portion of the Section from Wairoa towards Gisborne.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the portion of the East Coast Main Trunk
Railway-namely, from the end of the authorized
line at Hangaroa to the end of the authorized line in Block III,
Puketapu Survey District (hereinafter termed "the said
railway")-is a railway the construction of which is authorized
by the Railways Authorization Act, 1915: And whereas a
portion of the said railway has been constructed, and it has
been determined to construct and maintain a further portion
of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middleline of the said further portion of the said railway shall be
that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point situated in Paeroa No. 2, Block XVII,
Opoiti Survey District, near the left bank of the Wairoa
River, marked 2 miles, which point is the termination of the
railway described in a Proclamation dated the 8th day of
February, 1916, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 15, of the 10th day of the same month, and proceeding
thence generally in a northerly direction, and passing in, into,
through, or over the following lands, &c.-viz., Lots 9, 14,
Block XVII, Opoiti Survey District; Lot 21, Sections 105,
18, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 2, Block XIII, Opoiti Survey District;
Sections 24, 28, 29, 30, 32, 31, 3, 36, 39, 40, Reserve 124,
Sections 42, 43, 45, 46, and 55, Block IX, Opoiti Survey District; and terminating at a point marked 10 miles, situated
in said Section 55, Block IX, Opoiti Survey District: including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves,
roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses.
All in the Hawke's Bay Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 43881,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, New Zealand.

Land taken for the Purposes of Widening Luxford Street in
the City of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is
required to be taken, under the Public Works Act,
1908, for a certain public work-to wit, for the purposes of
widening Luxford Street, in the City of Wellington:
And whereas the Wellington City Council has laid before
the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map,
and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said
Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the
Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for widening the said street,
and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect
on and after the twentieth day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and eighteen.

required to be taken, under the Public Works
Act, 1908, for a certain public work-to wit, for the purposes of a road in Block III, Waitemata Survey District:
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law
to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such
land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been
observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of
New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908,
and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling
me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purposes of a road; and I do also hereby declare
