Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

RICHARD WILLIAM ARTHUR JAMES,

WILLIAM JOSEPH KING, and
SAMUEL THOMAS ROSSITER.
as from the twenty-ninth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, to be the Waiuku Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the thirteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and nineteen, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Town Board Office, Waiuku, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
WAIUKU DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 14 perches, more or less, being part Lot 73 of the Village of Waiuku. Bounded towards the north-west by Lot 65 of the aforesaid Village of Waiuku, 300 links; towards the north-east by Lot 66 of the said village, 324 links; towards the east and south-east by a public road, 389·86 and 491·07 links; towards the south by a public road, 210·09 links; and towards the west by Lot 228 of the aforesaid Village of Waiuku; 819 links.
Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods, more or less, being part of Lot 73, Village of Waiuku. Bounded towards the east by a public road, 552·35 and 175·97 links; towards the south by a public road, 463·73 links; and towards the north-west by a railway reserve, 129·17 and 749·97 links.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on plan marked 1/221, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plans 1491, 3769, 19366/8, 9.)

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Ashhurst Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of November, 1918.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Ashhurst Domain:
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the ninth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

PATRICK HANLON,
THOMAS HART,
ALFRED WARDEN TRASS, and
WALTER NORMAN BREWER,
as from the tenth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, to be the Ashhurst Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Library, Ashhurst, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
ASHHURST DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 29 acres 2 roods 37 perches, more or less, being Section No. 463c, Block III, Gorge Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west generally by a public road, by Section No. 463B; a cemetery reserve, and by Section No. 463; towards the north-east and south-east generally by a river-bank; and towards the south-west by Ahuriri or Gorge Road.
Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 16 acres 3 roods 14 perches, more or less, being Section No. 463A, Block III, Gorge Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 463, 1003·3 links; towards the north-east by Section No. 463, 1441 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 463B, a cemetery reserve, 296·6 links, and by a public road; and towards the south-west by Ahuriri or Gorge Road.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. 1010, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.

Portions of Moxham Avenue and Goa Street, in the City of Wellington, exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-fifth day of November, 1918.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of any road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor-General in Council:
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor-General, by Order in Council, thinks fit to impose:
And whereas the Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets described in the Schedule hereto, has passed the following resolution, viz.:—
“The Wellington City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Wellington, hereby declares that the provisions of section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the portion of Moxham Avenue fronting the portion of Lot 44A D.P. 65, and not already exempted from the provisions of the Act, subject to the building-lines of such portion of street being set back 33 ft. from the centre-line of the street on both sides.
“Also that the provisions of section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to the portion of Goa Street between Moxham Avenue and Hamilton Road.”
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved with the exception of that portion relating to the building-line being set back 33 ft. from the centre-line on both sides of Moxham Avenue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution with the exception of that portion relating to the building-line being set back 33 ft. from the centre-line on both sides of Moxham Avenue.
