THE following special order, made by the Patangata County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913.

PATANGATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 31 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Patangata County Council, on petition by a majority of the ratepayers of the Oero, Patangata, Porangahau, Mangatarata, Tamumu, Wanstead, and Wallingford Road Districts, resolves by way of special order, that on and after the 30th day of September, 1918, the said road districts shall be merged into the County of Patangata, and the Road Boards thereof abolished.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block VI, Kaitawa Survey District, for Forest-plantation Purposes.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for forest-plantation purposes. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Te Horo, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
Approximate area of the piece of land required to be taken: 12 acres 2 roods 31·8 perches.
Being part Ngawhakangutu No. 1 South Block, Block VI, Kaitawa Survey District.
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44354, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon edged red.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of New Plymouth, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

BOROUGH OF NEW PLYMOUTH.
Pursuant to the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of New Plymouth taken on the 4th day of September, 1918, upon the proposal of the New Plymouth Borough Council to borrow by way of special loan the sum of £10,000 for the purpose of forming and generally improving the streets and footways in the borough, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 265, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 279. I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

BOROUGH OF ONEHUNGA.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Onehunga was taken on the 5th day of September, 1918, on the proposal of the Onehunga Borough Council to borrow the sum of £3,500 for waterworks extension.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 520, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 99. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
