COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL RESOLUTION MADE ON FRIDAY, 16TH DAY OF
AUGUST, 1918.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Cook
County Council hereby resolves as follows:-

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £100 (being 10 per cent. of the original
loan of £1,000 for constructing Tokonui Road), authorized
to be raised by the Cook County Council, under the above-
mentioned Act, for completing the Tokonui Road, the said
Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of one-twentieth of a penny in the £1 upon the rateable value
of all rateable property of the Tokonui No. 2 Special Rating
District, comprising Puninga 4B 2; Puninga 4B 1 ; Puninga
5; Puninga 3A; Puninga 3B; Puninga 4A; part Small
Grazing-run 40 (3,770 acres); part Section 3, Block X; all
in the Nuhaka North Survey District: part Section 3, Marae-
taha 2; Section 2, Block III, Nuhaka North Survey District;
Maraetaha 2c; Sections 2, 3, Blocks II and III, Nuhaka
North Survey District.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the first day of July in each and every year during a
period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of
thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid
off. The rate of interest to be four and one-half per cent.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the
presence of--

the same to be true, and by virtue of the Justices of the
Peace Act, 1908.

FEATHERSTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Featherston Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges of the Featherston
Borough Council Sewerage Loan, £2,000, 1918, authorized
to be raised by the Featherston Borough Council, under the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the
sewerage works in connection with the said borough, the
said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
penny and one-eighth of a penny in the pound sterling on
the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property in the Borough of Featherston; and
that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly
on the 14th day of June during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses
of the Borough of Featherston was hereto affixed at the
office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Featherston
Borough Council, in the presence of--
