with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby amend the said regulations of
the twenty-seventh day of October, one thousand nine hun-
dred and fourteen, by making the following additions to
clauses three and nine thereof :—
Clause 3.—Provided that the season for trout-fishing in
Lake Waikaremoana, and the rivers or streams in the vicinity
thereof which are in the County of Wairoa and that part of
the County of Hawke’s Bay which is within the boundaries of
the Rotorua Acclimatization District, shall open on the 1st
day of October and close on the 30th day of April in each
year.
Clause 9.—Provided that in respect of Lake Waikare-
moana, and the rivers or streams in the vicinity thereof
which are in the County of Wairoa and that part of the
County of Hawke’s Bay which is within the boundaries of
the Rotorua Acclimatization District, the dates 1st June and
31st October in line 3 shall be 1st May to 30th September.

Ashburton, and South Canterbury, composed of the Counties
of Sounds, Marlborough, Kaikoura, Amuri, Cheviot, Ashley,
Selwyn, Akaroa, Mount Herbert, Ashburton, Mackenzie,
Geraldine, and Levels, and the Boroughs and Town Districts
situated therein.

At the Government House at Wellington, this tenth day of
September, 1918.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-first
day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 78, of the
twenty-second day of the same month, regulations were made
for that part of the South Island of New Zealand comprised
within the Counties of Sounds, Marlborough, Kaikoura,
Amuri, Cheviot, Ashley, Selwyn, Akaroa, Mount Herbert,
Ashburton, Mackenzie, Geraldine, Levels, Waimate, Waitaki,
Vincent, Maniototo, Waihemo, Waikouaiti, Peninsula, Taieri,
Tuapeka, Bruce, Clutha, Lake, Southland, Wallace, and
Stewart Island, and the boroughs and town districts situated
therein (hereinafter called “the Southern Acclimatization
District”):
And whereas it is desirable to amend the said regulations
in the manner hereinafter described :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority conferred upon him by section eighty-
three of the Fisheries Act, 1908, and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby make the following additional regu-
lations to have force and effect within the Counties of Sounds,
Marlborough, Kaikoura, Amuri, Cheviot, Ashley, Selwyn,
Akaroa, Mount Herbert, Ashburton, Mackenzie, Geraldine,
and Levels, and the boroughs and town districts situated
therein, which compose the Acclimatization Districts of
Marlborough, North Canterbury, Ashburton, and South
Canterbury.
REGULATIONS.

CLAUSE 12 of the hereinbefore-recited regulations of the
21st day of September, 1904, is hereby amended by deleting
the word “stroke-hauling.” -
It shall be unlawful for any person to fish with more
than two flies, or one fly and one minnow, or one fly and
one natural bait, or two natural baits affixed to any trace.
No fly shall have more than one hook, and it shall not be
lawful to use more than one lead or sinker, and such lead or
sinker must be tied above all flies, minnow, or natural bait
used. -
It shall be unlawful to use any wire, either plain or
twisted, or gymp trace of a greater gauge than 21 standard
wire gauge. It shall be unlawful to use any wire or gymp
trace of a greater length than 6 ft. -
The penalty for breach of any of these regulations shall
not be less than forty shillings or more than fifty pounds.

Authorizing Special Investment of £25,000 of the Public Trust
Office Funds.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this third day of
of September, 1918.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Taumarunui Hospital and Charitable Aid
Board (hereinafter called “the said Board”), incor-
porated under the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act,
1909, has applied to the Public Trustee for a loan of twenty-
five thousand pounds :
And whereas the said Board, as security for the said loan,
has agreed to enter into a deed of covenant with the said
the Public Trustee that a contribution will be levied annually
under the provisions of section forty-one of the said Act for
the full amount of interest and principal payable by the
said Board to the said the Public Trustee for the year (such
security being referred to herein as “the said security”) :
And whereas the said security is not one authorized by the
Public Trust Office Act, 1908 :
And whereas by section ninety-one of the Public Revenues
Act, 1910, it is enacted that it shall be lawful to invest any
part of the balance of the Public Trust Office Account in any
security which shall be declared by the Governor by Order
in Council to be securities in which such balance may be
invested :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor-General in and for the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby declare that it shall be lawful for
the Public Trustee to invest out of the balance of the Public
Trust Office Account the said sum of twenty-five thousand
pounds.

Consenting to stopping a Road in Blocks XV, Newcastle, and
III, Alexandra Survey Districts, Waipa County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this third day of
September, 1918.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (a)
of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a
local authority shall not declare any county road or district
road to be stopped until the consent thereto of the Governor-
General, by Order in Council gazetted, is obtained :
And whereas the Waipa County Council has applied for
such consent in respect of the road described in the Schedule
hereto :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-
in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise
enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waipa
County Council stopping the road described in the Schedule
hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be
stopped : 5 acres 0 roods 3·8 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Sections 246, 199, and 271,
Blocks XV, Newcastle, and III, Alexandra Survey Dis-
tricts. (S.O. 19678.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 44698,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works
at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured green.
