Appointments, Promotions, and Transfers of Officers of the Territorial Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force, and the reposting of officers from the N.Z. Expeditionary Force to the Territorial Force.

APPOINTMENTS.

Major Athol Graham Bissell Price, 16th (Waikato) Regiment, relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Adjutant-General, Auckland Military District, with effect from 6th August, 1918.

The undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Medical Corps are appointed members of the C2 Re-examination Board, under the provisions of the Military Service Act, 1915 :-

Major Andrew Stenhouse, M.B. Dated 15th June, 1918.

Captain James Sutherland, M.B. Dated 14th June, 1918.

Captain (temp.) Arthur Kidd, M.B. Dated 4th July, 1918.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Thomas William Maben, N.Z. Medical Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Adjutant and Quartermaster on H.M.N.Z. Hospital Ship “Maheno.” Dated 3rd August, 1918.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Thomas William Maben, N.Z. Medical Corps, is appointed Adjutant and Quartermaster, Military Hospitals, Rotorua, and retains the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 3rd August, 1918.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) John Hunter Strauchon, N.Z. Dental Corps, relinquishes the appointment of Dental Officer at Trentham Camp, and the temporary rank of Captain whilst so employed. Dated 29th June, 1918.

Lieutenant (temp.) Charles Constantine Massey, N.Z. Permanent Staff, is appointed an Attesting Officer under the Military Service Act, 1916. Dated 5th July, 1918.

Lieutenant Robert Arthur Barstow, Unattached List (b), is appointed an Attesting Officer under the Military Service Act, 1916. Dated 12th July, 1918.

2nd Lieutenant (temp.) John Reid, Unattached List (b), General List, is appointed Officer in Charge Transport, Trentham Camp, with the temporary rank of 2nd Lieutenant whilst so employed. Dated 1st July, 1918.

Lieutenant Leslie Robert Macfarlane to be Captain, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 15th March, 1918.

Lieutenant Cuthbert William Free, M.C., is seconded from the regiment for service in the Indian Army. Dated 9th October, 1917.

Lieutenant Cuthbert William Free, M.C., to be Captain, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 15th March, 1918, and remains seconded.

QUEEN. ALEXANDRA'S 2ND (WELLINGTON WEST COAST) MOUNTED RIFLES.

The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) Charles Stanley Billinghurst lapses, under the provisions of paragraph 89, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 15th July, 1918.

4TH (WAIKATO) MOUNTED RIFLES.

2nd Lieutenant Fabian Eric Spain to be Lieutenant, under the provisions of paragraph 111, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 17th June, 1918.

Lieutenant Robert Prain Boyne is transferred to the 14th (South Otago) Regiment. Dated 28th August, 1917.
