With reference to the notification published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 165, of 8th November, 1917, relating to the transfer of Lieutenant Murray Wodehouse Puiaki Blathwayt from the Unattached List (b) to the 2nd South Canterbury Regiment, for the words “Dated 17th October, 1917,” read “Dated 28th March, 1917.”

Appointments, Promotions, and Transfers of Officers of the Territorial Force.

HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the appointments, promotions, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the Territorial Force, and the reposting of officers from the N.Z. Expeditionary Force to the Territorial Force.

APPOINTMENTS.

Major George Raymond Blackett, M.C., 10th (Nelson) Mounted Rifles, is appointed an Attesting Officer under the Military Service Act, 1916. Dated 18th July, 1918.

Major John Henry Bartlett, 15th (North Auckland) Regiment, appointed Deputy Director of Base Records on 9th March, 1916, relinquishes the appointment, with effect from 20th August, 1918.

Captain Matthew Henry Oram, N.Z. Field Artillery, is appointed Deputy Director of Base Records. Dated 20th August, 1918.

Captain Cecil Turley Cox, 7th (Wellington West Coast) Regiment, is appointed for duty as Ship’s Adjutant, to date 9th May, 1918, and retains the appointment of Quartermaster on H.M.N.Z. Transports.

2nd Lieutenant (temp. Captain) Ethelbert Joseph James Welch, Unattached List (b) is appointed Ship’s Adjutant, to date 29th July, 1918, and retains the appointment of Quartermaster on H.M.N.Z. Transports.

Lieutenant (temp.) Murdoch McKenzie Millikin, 3rd (Auckland) Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly’s Own), is appointed Ship’s Adjutant and Quartermaster on H.M.N.Z. Transports. Dated 5th August, 1918.

Captain Felix Hector Levien, 16th (Waikato) Regiment, Reserve of Officers, is appointed a Military Representative to a Military Service Board. Dated 21st June, 1918.

Captain Percy St. John Keenan, Corps of N.Z. Engineers, N.Z. Railway Battalions, is appointed Adjutant, Wellington Garrison Artillery Division, and is temporarily attached to the Royal N.Z. Artillery whilst so employed. Dated 27th July, 1918.
