acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that in respect of the property vested in the Public Trustee by the said section the Public Trustee may in his discretion exercise all or any of the powers conferred on him by section twenty-nine of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908, as extended by section twenty-one of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1913; provided that the consent in writing of the Attorney-General shall be required, in lieu of an order of a Judge of the Supreme Court, for the exercise in respect of the property to which this Order in Council relates of any powers for the exercise of which in respect of other property an order of a Judge of the Supreme Court is required by section twenty-nine of the Public Trust Office Act, 1908.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Tuakau Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this thirteenth day of August, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor-General may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, a Domain Board was appointed to control the Tuakau Domain:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the twenty-fourth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

HUGH McGUIRE,
WALTER GUBB,
JOHN LAPWOOD, and
LEONARD LOGAN

as from the twenty-fifth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, to be the Tuakau Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the fourteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen, at half past two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Domain Pavilion as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

TUAKAU DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 37 acres 1 rood 39 perches, more or less, being Allotment No. 45, Parish of Tuakau, Block IV, One-whereo Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 100 links wide, 3155 links; towards the south-east by a public road, 100 links wide, 1741 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 100 links wide 3023 links; and towards the north-west by a pubic road, 200 links wide, 738·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 1243, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Extending Prohibition of Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this thirteenth day of August, 1918.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby extend for a further period of six months the Order in Council dated the twenty-fourth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and gazetted the twenty-seventh day of September, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, prohibiting all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto, other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

WAERENGA West Block: Approximate area, 1,240 acres; Rotoiti Survey District.

At the Government House at Wellington, this thirteenth day of August, 1918.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

ON the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section two of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, it is provided that no person shall lay, construct, place, put up, or use any electric line except under the authority of a license issued by the Governor-General in Council under that Act:

And whereas Ralph Mathers Letts and Louis Wilfrid George Letts, of Opotiki, electrical engineers and contractors (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), desire to erect lines within the area of supply as defined in the Schedule hereto, and hereinafter called “the area of supply,” and it is expedient accordingly to issue a license in respect thereof under the said section;
