LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 2 roods 24 perches.
Portion of Lot 4 of Allotment 73.
Coloured on plan: Red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 1 rood 34·8 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Lot 4 of Allotment 73 and Lot 6 of Allotment 72.
Coloured on plan: Green.

All situated in Karaka Parish, Block XI, Drury Survey District. (S.O. 19486.)
All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42279, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty's Most Honourable Privy Council, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor-General and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this second day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners and mortgagee of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Matamata County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Cambridge Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road described in the First Schedule hereto.

Land taken for the Purposes of Recreation-grounds in Town of Greymouth.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, for a certain public work—to wit, for the purposes of recreation-grounds in the Town of Greymouth:
And whereas the Greymouth Borough Council has laid before the Governor-General a memorial, accompanied by a map in duplicate, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said recreation-grounds, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Greymouth as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the thirty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and eighteen.
