Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 374
of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four
of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred
to as “the said Act”), and by section fourteen of the Native
Land Amendment Act, 1914, it is provided, inter alia, that
on being satisfied that the purchase of any Native land has
been duly completed by or on behalf of the Crown under
the authority of the said Act the Governor-General may issue
a Proclamation that such land has become Crown land :
And whereas the purchase of the Native land set out in
the Schedule hereto has been duly completed by or on behalf
of the Crown under the authority of the said Act :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and
seventy-four of the said Act, and by section fourteen of the
Native Land Amendment Act, 1914, I, Arthur William de
Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set
out in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land.

Allocating to the Purposes of a Road Land in Block XI,
Drury Survey District, acquired for a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land acquired for the purposes of the
Kaipara–Waikato Railway, and it is considered desirable to
allocate such land to the purposes of a road :
And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of
Railways that such land is not required for railway pur-
poses: And whereas such land is situated in the Franklin
County, the local authority of which has consented to the
issue of this Proclamation, and appears to be the local
authority most capable of conveniently and effectively
controlling and maintaining the said road :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-
seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in
the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the
New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said
road shall be maintained by the Franklin County Council
in like manner as other public highways are controlled and
maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land dealt with: 1 rood
1·5 perches.
Portion of railway land adjoining Lot 4 of Allotment 73,
Karaka Parish.
Situated in Block XI, Drury Survey District. (S.O. 19486.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42279,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured orange.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

Earl of Liverpool, Member of His Majesty’s

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for a portion of the Kai-
para–Waikato Railway :
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law
to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such
land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been
observed and performed :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and autho-
rities vested in me by section one hundred and eighty-eight
of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is hereby taken for a portion of the said line of
railway hereinbefore specified.

perches.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur
William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with
the consents of the owners of the land described in the
First Schedule hereto, and of the Franklin County Council,
being the local authority in whose district the said land
is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Drury Survey
