NOTICE is hereby given that the license of the under-mentioned land having been declared forfeited by resolution of the Auckland Land Board, the said land has thereby reverted to the Crown, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for lease by public auction, under the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and section 132 of the Land Act, 1908, at this office on Thursday, the 14th day of February, 1918, at 11 o’clock a.m.
SCHEDULE.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Sections 1 to 21, Block I, 1 to 6 and 10 to 39, Block II, 1 to 39, Block III, and 1 to 35, Block IV, Longridge Village: Area, 116 acres 1 rood 15·9 perches; upset annual rental, £8 10s.
Description.
Level land in native state, covered with stunted tussock. Soil poor, suitable for grazing sheep only. Situated adjacent to Kingston Crossing Railway-station. A school is situated in the village.
Abstract of Conditions of Lease.
- Term, fourteen years.
- Right of cultivation, but two white crops must not be taken off the land in succession; the cultivated area to be left in grass at the end of the term.
- No valuation will be allowed for improvements.
- All noxious weeds to be cleared off and kept down to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
- The purchaser of the lease must deposit a year’s rent and £1 1s. lease fee on the fall of the hammer.

Reserve in Marlborough Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned reserve will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Blenheim, at noon on Thursday, 14th February, 1918, under the provisions of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.—SOUNDS COUNTY.—GORE SURVEY DISTRICT.
SECTION 125, Block XIX: Area, 40 acres; upset annual rent, £5; term, seven years.
Situated at Cooper Point, near entrance to Queen Charlotte Sound; exposed and isolated.
Consists of easy sidlings carrying good pasture of English and native grasses, with sufficient scrub and bush for shelter for stock.
Abstract of Terms and Conditions of Lease.
- The purchaser of the lease shall, immediately upon the fall of the hammer, deposit an amount equal to six months’ rent at the rate offered, together with £1 1s. lease fee. Rent for period from date of lease to 1st July next must also be paid.
- Possession will be given on the day of sale.
- The Commissioner of Crown Lands may at any time resume possession of the land comprised in the lease, or any portion thereof, by giving to the lessee twelve months’ notice in writing of his intention so to do.
- The lessee shall have no right to sublet, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the whole or any portion of the land comprised in the lease, except with the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.
- The lessee shall have no right to compensation either for any improvements that may be placed upon the land or on account of the aforesaid resumption.
- The land shall be used for grazing purposes only, and shall not be broken up or cropped without the written consent of the Commissioner of Crown Lands first had and obtained.
- The lessee shall destroy all rabbits on the land, and shall prevent their increase and spread to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
- The lessee shall prevent the growth and spread of gorse, broom, and sweetbrier on the land comprised in the lease; and he shall with all reasonable despatch remove, or cause to be removed, all gorse, sweetbrier, broom, Californian thistle, or other noxious weeds or plants, as may be directed by the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
- The rent shall be payable half-yearly in advance, free from all deductions whatsoever.
- The lease shall be liable to forfeiture in case the lessee shall fail to fulfil any of the conditions of the said lease within sixty days after the date on which the same ought to have been fulfilled.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned lands are open for sale or lease under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, and the regulations thereunder; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 25th February, 1918.
