Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby approve for the purposes of the said Act—
(i.) The fund hereinbefore referred to, established by the
Otago Patriotic and General Welfare Association;
and
(ii.) The conditions of control and expenditure of the said
fund, as set out in the rules adopted by the said
association.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eleventh day of June, one thousand nine hun-
dred and seventeen.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of Portion of a
Travelling-stock Reserve in Mangaone Survey District,
Wellington Land District.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms portion of a reserve heretofore duly set apart
as a resting-place for travelling stock, being a purpose within
Class II of the Second Schedule to the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908 :
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the portion
of the said reserve should be changed to a reserve for gravel
purposes :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred upon me by the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908, aforesaid, declare my intention to change
the purpose of the portion of the reserve described in the
Schedule hereto from a resting-place for travelling stock to
a reserve for gravel purposes.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 10 acres 0 roods 20 perches, more or less,
being Section 77 (formerly portion of Section 8), Block V,
Mangaone Survey District. Bounded towards the north-
east, east, and south generally by Section 8, 195 links, and
by a line along the middle of a stream and of the Ngatahaka
Stream ; towards the west generally by Section 9, 510 and
178·9 links, and by North No. 1 Road, 725 links : be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated
on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/44, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this eighteenth day of May, one thousand nine
hundred and seventeen.

Notifying Lands in Wellington Land District for Sale by
Public Auction.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section
of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the twenty-fifth
day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, as
the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto
shall be sold by public auction ; and I do hereby fix the
prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those men-
tioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Financial Instructions and Allowance Regulations, New Zealand Forces,
amended.—Transfer and Removal Allowances.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authority conferred
on me by the Defence Act, 1909, and its amendments, I, Arthur
William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke certain regulations
made under that Act and shown in the Schedule hereto, and do hereby
substitute therefor the regulations shown in the said Schedule ; and
I do hereby declare that such revocation shall take effect and such
regulations come into force as from the date of publication thereof
in the Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
REGULATIONS 122 to 127 (both inclusive) of the Financial Instructions and
Allowance Regulations of the 11th day of March, 1913, are hereby revoked, and
the following substituted in lieu thereof :—
A. Where Cost borne by Soldier.
- Soldiers transferred from one station to another solely at their own
request, or by exchange (except as provided for in the next regulation), must
bear the whole cost of their removal. When transferred on account of mis-
conduct, the cost must be borne by the member at fault, unless otherwise
determined by the Minister prior to removal.
B. Where Cost borne by Public.
- When soldiers are transferred (a) in the public interest, (b) to meet
the convenience of the Department, or in the ordinary course of promotion,
the actual cost of conveyance of such soldiers, and of their family, will be paid
by the Department.
