Special Order made by the Patea County Council altering Boundaries of Ridings, &c.

THE following special order, made by the Patea County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by the Counties Act, 1908, the Patea County Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—

That the boundaries of the Waverley Riding as at present constituted be altered, and that in lieu thereof the Waverley Riding be divided into two ridings to be called respectively the Waverley Riding and the Moumohaki Riding, bounded as respectively described in the Schedule hereto, with a representation of two members to each such riding, and that the alteration hereby made shall take effect on and after the 1st day of June, 1917.

The Schedule hereto.

The Waverley Riding.—Commencing at the mouth of the Whenuakura River at the coast; thence by such river to its intersection with the confiscation-line; thence by such confiscation-line in a south-easterly direction to its junction with the boundary-line between the Wellington and Taranaki Provincial Districts; thence in a south-westerly direction along such boundary-line to its intersection with the Okotuku Road; thence by the Okotuku, Motoroa, Herengawe, Ihupuku, and Wairoa Roads and the Wairoa River to the sea; thence by the sea-coast to the mouth of the Whenuakura River, the place of commencement.

The Moumohaki Riding.—Commencing at the mouth of the Waitotara River at the sea-coast; thence by such river to its intersection with the confiscation-line; thence by such confiscation-line in a north-westerly direction to its junction with the boundary-line between the Wellington and Taranaki Provincial Districts; thence in a south-westerly direction along such line to its intersection with the Okotuku Road; thence by the Okotuku, Motoroa, Herengawe, Ihupuku, and Wairoa Roads and the Wairoa River to the sea; thence by the sea-coast to the mouth of the Waitotara River, the place of commencement.

I, George Vater Pearce, Chairman of the Patea County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 12th day of March, 1917, and was duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 16th day of April, 1917.

Special Order made by the Manukau County Council merging Turanga Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Manukau County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Amendment Act, 1913.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order merging Turanga Road District.

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 31 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Manukau County Council, on the petition of a majority of the ratepayers of the Turanga Road District, resolves, by way of special order, that on and after the 31st day of May, 1917, the said Road District shall be merged in the County of Manukau, and the Board thereof abolished.

I certify that the above writing is a copy of the special order therein referred to; and that such special order merging the Turanga Road District into the Manukau County was duly passed by the Council of the said county on the 22nd day of May, 1917.
