Lieutenant John Moultrie Ferriday performed the duties of Mortar Instructor, Field Artillery Reinforcements, Featherston Camp, from 5th March, 1917, and is confirmed in the appointment, with effect from that date.

2nd Lieutenant Reginald James Richards, from the Unattached List (b), to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 27th April, 1917.
2ND (SOUTH CANTERBURY) REGIMENT.
Captain Ernest Arthur George Holdgate, N.Z. Expeditionary Force, is struck off the strength and absorbed into the Establishment, with his original rank and seniority therein—viz., Captain—as from 1st April, 1912 (vide New Zealand Gazette No. 38, of 25th April, 1912). Dated 1st June, 1917.
