Arrangements for First Election, &c., of the Huntress Creek Drainage Board.

HIS Excellency has been pleased to appoint
WILLIAM YOUNG, Esq.,
Clerk of the Opotiki County Council, to be the Returning Officer and person to prepare the electors roll for the purposes of the first election of the five members of the Board of Trustees of the Huntress Creek Drainage District as constituted under the Land Drainage Act, 1908; also to appoint Wednesday, the 20th day of June, 1917, to be the time, and the Opotiki County Council Office, Main Street, Opotiki, as the place, for holding the said first election; also to appoint Thursday, the 28th day of June, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, to be the time, and the said Opotiki County Council Office, Main Street, Opotiki, to be the place, for holding the first meeting of the Board so elected.

Honorary Lieutenant and Quartermaster George Albert Gibbs, R.A.M.C., attached to N.Z. Staff Corps, is granted the honorary rank of Captain and Quartermaster whilst employed with the New Zealand Military Forces. Dated 1st January, 1917.
