Schedule hereto, which is of approximately equal value, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange, and has agreed to accept from the Crown the sum of four pounds twelve shillings by way of equality of exchange, and such sum does not exceed twenty-five per centum of the estimated value of the national endowment land hereinbefore mentioned :
And whereas the Board of Land Purchase Commissioners has recommended that the said exchange should be given effect to :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare that it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of national endowment land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the area of land described in the Second Schedule, and to pay the owner thereof the sum of money hereinbefore referred to by way of equality of exchange.

FIRST SCHEDULE.
DESCRIPTION OF NATIONAL ENDOWMENT LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement a total of 1,932 acres 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, being Section 1, Block I, Patoka Survey District, containing 614 acres 2 roods; Section 1, Block V, Patoka Survey District, containing 1,280 acres; and Section 2, Block X, Kuripapanga Survey District, containing 38 acres 0 roods 2 perches. As the same are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/44A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

SECOND SCHEDULE:
DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 545 acres, more or less, being Lot 2 on plan No. 3283 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier, situated in Blocks VI and X, Kuripapanga Survey District. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/44A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District for other Land.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and forty-two of the Land Act, 1908, as amended by section seventeen of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1913, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive by way of equality of exchange any sum not exceeding twenty-five per centum of the estimated value of the Crown land so granted :
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land of equal value described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare that it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.

As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 22/738, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of Portion of a Travelling-stock Reserve in Mangaone Survey District, Wellington Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms portion of a reserve heretofore duly set apart as a resting-place for travelling stock, being a purpose within Class II of the Second Schedule to the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 :
And whereas it is expedient that the purpose of the portion of the said reserve should be changed to a reserve for gravel purposes :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, aforesaid, declare my intention to change the purpose of the portion of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a resting-place for travelling stock to a reserve for gravel purposes.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 0 roods 20 perches, more or less, being Section 77 (formerly portion of Section 8), Block V, Mangaone Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east, east, and south generally by Section 8, 195 links, and by a line along the middle of a stream and of the Ngatahaka Stream; towards the west generally by Section 9, 510 and 178·9 links, and by North No. 1 Road, 725 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/44, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section twenty of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1912, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the lands described in the Schedule hereto (being portions of kauri-gum reserves) for disposal under the section of the Act mentioned.
