SCHEDULE.

  1. CLAUSE 5 of the said regulations is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:—

(d.) Residence on any land held under license to occupy shall be compulsory, and shall commence in case of bush or swamp land within four years, and in case of open or partly open land within one year, from the date of the license, and shall thereafter be continuous during the whole of the remainder of the term of the license; provided that the Land Board shall have discretionary power to dispense with personal residence on sufficient and satisfactory grounds being shown for non-residence.

  1. The occupation license (form No. 4) in the Schedule to the said regulations is hereby amended by inserting the following paragraph after paragraph 3 thereof:—

(4.) The licensee will commence to reside on the said land on or before the day of , 191 , and will thereafter reside continuously thereon during the term of the license.

Appointment of Nelson Creek Domain Board revoked.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this thirtieth day of April, 1917.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made on the eighteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, a Domain Board was appointed to have control of the Nelson Creek Domain therein described:

And whereas it appears expedient to revoke the said Order in Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the aforesaid Order in Council of the eighteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen.

Appointment of Ahaura Domain Board revoked.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made on the thirteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, and published in the Gazette of the fourteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, a Domain Board was appointed to have control of the Ahaura Domain therein described:

And whereas it appears expedient to revoke the said Order in Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the aforesaid Order in Council of the thirteenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council made on the sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in the Gazette of the eleventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, a Domain Board was appointed to have control of the Moana Domain therein described:

And whereas it appears expedient to revoke the said Order in Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the aforesaid Order in Council of the sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Ruakaka Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this thirtieth day of April, 1917.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR JAMES ALLEN, K.C.B., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local authority to be the Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of any public domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the second day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twelfth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, the Ruakaka Domain, described in the Schedule hereto, was brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act:

And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

THE WAIPU NORTH ROAD BOARD

to be the Ruakaka Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, at two o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the North River School, Waipu, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

RUAKAKA DOMAIN,

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, being Allotment 90, Parish of Ruakaka, containing by admeasurement 26 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less. Bounded, commencing at peg marked 1, being 538156·8 links north and 139158·6 links west of Mount Eden Trig. Station; towards the east generally by a reserve along the Ruakaka River, 983·8, 418·7, and 1186 links; towards the south by Crown land, 1341·5 and 604·4 links; towards the west generally by a reserve along the Ruakaka River, 601·6, 255 467·9, 529, and 924·5 links, to the point of commencement.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, being Allotment 91, Parish of Ruakaka, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 10 perches, more or less. Bounded, commencing at peg marked XIV, being 539507 links north and 138179·7 links west of Mount Eden Trig. Station; towards the north-east and south-east by Crown land, 558·4
