Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owners and mortgagees of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Hobson County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Maungaru Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road described in the First Schedule hereto.

All situated in Avoca Special Settlement, Block I, Maungaru Survey District (S.O. 18950).
All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 42011, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this fifth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, with the consents of the owner and mortgagee of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, and of the Raglan County Council, being the local authority in whose district the said land is situated, proclaim as a road the land in Alexandra Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and also do hereby, with the like consents as aforesaid, proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto, which is not required by reason of the road described in the First Schedule hereto.

Amended Regulations relating to the Stamping of Eggs imported into New Zealand.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this sixteenth day of April, 1917.

Present :

THE HONOURABLE W. H. HERRIES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the twenty-second day of February, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, regulations were made relating to the stamping of eggs imported into New Zealand: And whereas it is desirable that eggs known as “Hahm Dahn” should be exempted from such regulations if intended for consumption by Chinese:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Sale of Food and Drugs Act, 1908, and the Sale of Food and Drugs Amendment Act, 1915, and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the hereinbefore-recited regulations shall not apply to the eggs known as “Hahm Dahn” (being salted eggs imported from China, coated with a preservative composition consisting mainly of salt and ashes), providing that before obtaining delivery of any such eggs the importer shall be required to make and sign in the presence of an officer of Customs a declaration that they are intended only for sale to and consumption by Chinese.
