Additional Land in Ohinemuri Survey District taken for the Purposes of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Athenree Section).

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of the East Coast Main Trunk Railway (Athenree Section) to take further land in Ohinemuri Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 rood 8·67 perches, being residue of Section 471, Waihi Township, Borough of Waihi.

Situated in Block XVI, Ohinemuri Survey District (S.O. 19353).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 41506, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured pink, edged blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirteenth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

Allocating to the Purposes of a Road Land in Block III, Leaning Rock Survey District, reserved for a Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land reserved for the purposes of the Otago Central Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Public Works that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Vincent County, the local authority of which has consented to the issue of this Proclamation, and appears to be the local authority most capable of conveniently and effectively controlling and maintaining the said road:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be maintained by the Vincent County Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land allocated as a road: 5·9 perches.

Portion of railway reserve, Block III, Leaning Rock Survey District.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39711 (sheet 5), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured sepia.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventeen.

And whereas it has been certified by the Minister of Public Works that such land is not required for railway purposes:

And whereas such land is situated in the Otamatea County, the local authority of which has consented to the issue of this Proclamation, and appears to be the local authority most capable of conveniently and effectively controlling and maintaining the said road:
