The following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Te Awamutu, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Te Awamutu taken on the 18th day of April, 1917, on the proposal of the Te Awamutu Borough Council to borrow a sum of £3,000 for the purpose of extending, paving and draining, and otherwise improving the sale-yards in the Borough of Te Awamutu, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 62, and the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 10; 1 informal.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Result of a Poll on a Proposal to raise a Loan.
Pursuant to the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Kopaki Special-rating Area in the Tangitu Riding of the Waitomo County was taken on the 28th day of February, 1917, on a proposal of the Waitomo County Council to borrow the sum of £9,150, for the purpose of widening, culverting, and metalling the Kopaki Road from the railway-station to Aratoro, and portions of the Pukerimu Road, North Mapara Road, South Mapara Road, and Kurukuru Road from their junction with the Kopaki Road, as far as funds will permit.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 52. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 5.
I therefore declare the proposal was carried.
