he having a total rank and commissioned service to the 28th February, 1917, entitling him thereto of twenty years two hundred and forty-seven days.

Date of Election to fill Extraordinary Vacancy in Tauranga Fire Board by Fire-insurance Companies.

PURSUANT to the Fire Brigades Act, 1908, and the rules made thereunder, I, George Warren Russell, Minister of Internal Affairs, being the Minister charged with the administration of the said Act, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the 25th day of April, 1917, to be the day for holding an election of one member of the Tauranga Fire Board by the fire-insurance companies concerned, such election being held to fill the extraordinary vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. H. S. Malcolm.
