With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 96, of 12th August, 1915, “Appointments of Officers to the N.Z. Expeditionary Force,” relative to the appointment of 2nd Lieutenant Henry Logan Wade, Unattached List (b), General List, for the words “Unattached List (b), General List,” read “4th (Waikato) Mounted Rifles.”

Captain Alexander John Sutherland Cowie is appointed Area Officer, Nos. 51 and 53 Areas. Dated 5th March, 1917.

The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) Malcolm Angus Powrie lapses, under the provisions of paragraph 89, General Regulations, 1913. Dated 23rd March, 1917.

16TH (WAIKATO) REGIMENT.
Herbert Tiarks to be 2nd Lieutenant (temp.), vice Lieutenant Mor.on, on active service. Dated 30th March, 1917.
17TH (RUAHINE) REGIMENT.
2nd Lieutenant David Charles Collins, from the Unattached List (b), to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 21st February, 1917.
NEW ZEALAND RIFLE BRIGADE (TERRITORIAL UNIT).
2nd Lieutenant Hornish Allen Signal is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and absorbed, with his original rank and seniority—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from 22nd July, 1916, vide New Zealand Gazette No. 139 of 14th December, 1916. Dated 15th April, 1917.
NEW ZEALAND FORCES MOTOR SERVICE CORPS.
With reference to the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 42, of 8th March, 1917, relative to the appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on probation) Herbert Vivian Stabler, dated 7th February, 1917, for the words “Auckland Section” read “Wellington Section.”
NEW ZEALAND MEDICAL CORPS.
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 62, of 25th May, 1916, Appointments of Officers to the New Zealand Military Forces, dated 27th May, 1916, relative to Lieutenant-Colonel Percival Clennell Fenwick, M.B. (New Zealand Medical Corps), is cancelled.
Lieutenant-Colonel Percival Clennell Fenwick, M.B. (New Zealand Medical Corps), returns to duty, with seniority as from 1st September, 1914, vide New Zealand Gazette of 24th September, 1914.
Major (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) James Sands Elliott, M.D., Edin., relinquishes the appointment of Assistant Director of Medical Services, Wellington Military District, and retains his present rank, without pay, until further notice, with effect from 1st March, 1917.
Captain (temp. Lieutenant-Colonel) William Kington Fyffe to be Assistant Director of Medical Services, Wellington Military District, with effect from 1st March, 1917.
Captain (temp. Major) Edward William Sharman, L.R.C.P., Edin., L.I.C.R., Edin., L.F.P.S., Edin., is appointed a member of a Special District Medical Board, and retains the temporary rank of Major whilst so employed. Dated 4th February, 1917.

The Reverend Patrick Dore is struck off the strength of the N.Z. Expeditionary Force, and absorbed, with his original rank and seniority—viz., Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class, as from 1st September, 1914. Dated 15th April, 1917.
The Reverend Patrick Dore, Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class, is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 15th April, 1917.
